I think that many of you go overboard with the victimhood of the white man, but it likewise shocks me that anyone can think it would roll on by unmentioned or even celebrated if it were any male in a leadership role.

From numerous sources, she has a drinking problem and gets confrontational/curses like a sailor at people in business meetings, etc.
The Chairman of the New Orleans Downtown Development just resigned yesterday due to Cantrell badgering/bullying the council to hire her aide to be the interim director instead of their long-time finance director who they had previously unanimously voted to promote to President/CEO of the group. The Chairman was on his way to sign the the contract with the newly-promoted President when he suddenly started receiving phone calls from the Mayor and others telling him not to go through with it.
The best part is that the group has an ongoing lawsuit against the city due to millions in tax money that has been diverted to pensions instead of going to the group (and other similar organizations) for its intended purposes by law. The issue started before Cantrell was even in office, but obviously has not come to a resolution (no conflict of interest there to put the Mayor's top aide in charge of the organization that currently has a long-time lawsuit going on against the city of New Orleans).
The best part is that the director said they hadn't even received a resume from this dude, didn't interview him and didn't even do a background check on him because he wasn't even a candidate.

We do have the mayor of a relatively major American city being a piece of unhinged thug trash though.

we sat down and noticed Mitch was down the counter from us eating a burger. I started in on him, respectfully at first but I got out of line and was being a pretty big a-hole about my disappointment with him.
he never raised his voice, never got agitated and calmly let me berate him. Then he handed me his card and invited me to share my concerns with him via email and promised to respond. I hate that MFer with a passion but he handled my bullshite like a professional elected official and not like a ghetto rat. Still don’t like him but I have to admit we’ve gone downhill from him and I didn’t think that was possible

Seems pretty clear to me. She heard him say her name, so she confronted him.
That’s pretty easy context to pull if you listen to her. That’s what she said he did.
If he called her a name, she prob would have confronted him with that instead of her saying “You said my name, what do you have to say to me?”
