She left off the part where the tax payers will be paying for her trip first class all the way.

No the best the can say is, "Yeah, sure go to Iceland, and then revoke her passport and not let her back in the Country and return her to Iceland

This bitch doesn’t know when to stop.

There are no direct non-stop flights from NOLA to Reykjavik. Is she planning to charter a private jet?
Or will she go commercial and just happen to get off the plane in Canada or some where in Europe if that is the only connection she can 'find' at that time of the year and with such a short time to plan the trip.
Iceland's beautiful, but I didn't know that she was into waterfalls, volcanoes or a hundred dishes you can cook with dried fish.

Most people would stop doing it because they think they would get in trouble.
All indications are that she has had zero consequences, so hard for her to learn a lesson.

Is it shamelessness or is LaToya just too stupid to understand her legal position?

No idea how the case ends up, she did what they accuse her of, but the case isn't especially brutal.

I would let her flee to Russia and live in exile

quote:the truth is, the only direct evidence they have of her personally breaking the law is her false testimony to the federal grand jury. She lied under oath, the case there is open/shut. Vappie on the other hand they’ve got clear evidence on multiple counts of payroll fraud. Again, open/shut.

the judge will sign the motion there’s no compelling reason not to. Latoya clearly doesn’t give a frick about optics or public opinion relative to a potential jury trial so why should the judge. She may be stupid but she ain’t skipping bail to Iceland

I assume this will be granted

Mayor LaToya Cantrell filed a request to go on a European family vacation next month in Iceland
Is Vappie part of the “family”. Wild request considering the current restrictions, locale, and extravagant value

The truth is shes broke as a joke......she cant afford a jury trial...and an attorney......she gonna have to make a plea deal
Posted on 9/16/25 at 11:12 am to cgrand
maybe but if they get her on wire fraud...thats the kill shot. They can go after her for a 20 year sentence and if any of the money was tied to any federally declared disaster fund or special program funds from the feds......they can pin 30 on her
she will never do that much time but they will prolyl get her to plead to 5 years by using the leverage over her.
its why the feds have a 95% conviction rate.

I'm impressed. I knew she had balls but damn!

I see nothing wrong with her taking a vacation any where she wants…damn sure doesn’t need to be paid for by taxpayers, though.

what do you want to bet that if the judge lets her go she'll put the trip on the city's dime?
