Russian BMPs have had problems with hull breach but the frontal armor is decent with a steep slope but heavy artillery shell fragments can penetrate top side and back relatively easily.

Morale in RU forces is absolute shite

My Ukrainian buddy told me a story last week about how his unit captured some T80s from Russia recently. He said that they were listening in on Russia’s unencrypted radio. The Russians were low on fuel and were pissed at their commanders. One of the Ukrainian officers got on the radio and offered them good vodka and cigarettes in exchange for the tanks if they surrendered. The Russian officer replied no. Then a few minutes later a younger voice came on the radio and said they accepted. A group of soldiers came walking over without weapons. When the Ukrainians got to the tanks they found an officer with a single ak round to the head.

The stuff I’m hearing about officers fragged by enlisted men is actually quite alarming if I’m being honest. It points to a total breakdown in troop morale and discipline and may help explain the Buchas’ of the war. Who’s in charge? You are.

I would not be surprised if the Russian troops mutiny like they did in 1917 if the war drags into summer and they don’t make changes in how they operate.

Our traitors in the senate went to visit zelensky to get their cut of the money. What a DANGEROUS warzone they're in.

The Wagner group is letting their displeasure be known. Behind the pay wall at the WSJ (story at LINK for subscribers):

quote:

Reverse Side of the Medal, a channel close to the Wagner private military contractor that is actively involved in the war in Ukraine, pointed out sardonically that the Russian commanders in the Bilohorivka operation were “guided by the principle that the shell doesn’t fall into the same place twice and that if you don’t see the enemy, he cannot see you.”

Ukrainian artillery managed to destroy at least a battalion’s worth of Russian armor because it is employing drones and sophisticated reconnaissance technology to achieve precision, Wagner’s channel added. “The Armed Forces of Ukraine use the Western system of smart battle management, and we use a ruler on a paper map,” it said.

What if I told you we had CODELs flying in to Afghanistan and Iraq all the fricking time?

But by all means, keep displaying your stupidity and irrational hatred of Biden that is making you support an authoritarian dictator that invaded a sovereign nation.

You subscribe to the New York Times? A bit of a surprise.

I thought this place would be enamored by the NYT. I guess not in this case because it goes against the narrative.

Let me guess, it's back to being Fake News again.

You're too stupid to understand the tactical genius behind Putin's move to abandon not only his attack on the capitol and most populous city, but to do the same for the second most populous city and major industrial hub for heavy machinery and electronics.

He's playing 4D chess by losing both major offensives to take the two main major population (and industrial) centers in the country.

Cuck.

You've mentioned this a couple times, and I've got a question - do you get the idea we offered this as a quid pro quo, i.e. "we won't pull this on you, and you better not pull it on us", or is it just a naked threat - "don't do that, or else."

I guess that ties in with your notion that

might be completely home-grown, but I'm wondering just how much encouragement we might be giving, and whether there's a line we won't cross on that front.

The river crossing was attempted 3 times when both initial crossings had failed miserably, I’m also hearing RU intercepts confirmed Russian dead is right around the 1000 mark for that event that Ukies are not exaggerating.
Damn. How do you say "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" in Russian?

There are no lines in cyber warfare. Never have been, never will be.
