But if you don't care about what is happening in the world, don't be surprised when it bites you in the arse because you only felt the need to concentrate on what is happening inwards. It completely perplexes me that people still think they can turn back the world a century or two and live some utopian isolationist life. Hell, it didn't work then, and damn sure won't work now. This country will either embrace moving forward in this ever-changing world by being ahead of the game or it will fall back...like plenty of empires before it.

Secondary Sanctions are a SOB. Either you want to do business with the US & the EU( both with GDPs of $20 trillion plus each )or Russia with a 1.5 trillion dollar GDP smaller than several US states.Russia will survive , but huge companies will avoid them like the plague & hire " sanction lawyers" to protect themselves because of fear of running afoul of G7 sanctions.

Sanctions don't just include the company , but their suppliers as well. It's a minefield. Ask Huawei.

I don't trust the media in this country. I think Biden, and progressive liberals are gigantic pieces of hypocritical shite. I detest the woke movement and the progressive need to inject sexuality discussions to fricking children.

And guess what? I'm also against a sovereign nation getting invaded by Russia for bullshite reasons. I have no allegiance to Ukraine, but I have been to Ukraine. I've worked with their military. I know Ukrainians on a personal level. I lived four years in Europe, and traveled to ten different European countries.

Those experiences living and working outside of the gigantic bubble that is the United States tends to shape your views on geopolitical issues like this. You'd know this if you ever even managed to leave your state.

They want what we in the west take for granted. How can anyone look at what the Russians have done to those people and the suffering and still say they don't care? This is about right and wrong, good and evil. Go back and look up what Reagan said about the Soviets. I am an old cold warrior that grew up knowing and seeing what the Soviets did to the people of Eastern Europe. Many parts of that area still suffer from the lingering effects of communism.
