My enemies are here, in this country.
They’re not in Russia.
And we did this stupidity to ourselves. It’s the inevitable end result of NATO expansion.

I remember when "conservatives" were rightly indignant over the media mocking the Republican candidate for president because he said that Russia was our greatest geo-political rival.
And I remember when liberals claimed they were stupid to do so. I don't think there is a point here either way

You might want to travel/spend some time outside the southeastern United States. Maybe even have one conversation or thought that doesn’t revolve around a vast MSM liberal conspiracy. It’s a big world out there.

The point is that liberals have gone on record as saying they were wrong. Hell, I read a NYT op ed at one point apologizing to Romney.
On the other hand, some conservatives are changing their position just to be contrarian. But if you’re comfortable with modeling your positions on that of the stereotypical petulant toddler who simply enjoys saying no, by all means.

There needs to be a Red Dawn remake. As Russians are parachuting in and mowing down civilians, Poli Board posters are standing around like:
“See! I told you this would happen! This is all Soros & Biden’s fau-“ (dies of sniper fire)

It's not particularly hard or helpful to apologize after the damage has been done.
The rest of your post shows some of you guys are taking this personally when my problem is not with you or your stance on this, my issue is no one yet has given me a concise answer as to why I am beholden to have any allegiance to Ukraine at all.

You shouldn’t have any allegiance to Ukraine in a vacuum. You should be against Russian geo-political aggression. You should also be against Chinese geo-political aggression, on a related subject. So whether it’s Ukraine, or Taiwan, or anywhere else those nations act as belligerents, if you have the best interest of the United States in mind, you should be pulling for the target of that aggression.
If you disagree, I would be curious to hear why.

I'm not sure whether or not Russia prevails against Ukraine affects us that much at all but I appreciate the direct response. I don't totally agree with it but I don't completely reject it either

Ukraine is rich with natural resources, is one of the major breadbaskets of Europe, and has significant warm water ports. Russia controlling that territory makes Russia stronger. History has shown that a strong Russia is a belligerent Russia. And a belligerent Russia is not beneficial to the interests of the United States.

My question would be as a person who has lived in the Southeastern United States my entire life what basis is there for me to have any allegiance to Ukraine?
Maybe because Ukraine isn’t Russia, what am I missing with that line of thinking? I was born in 80 and Russia was to never be trusted, when did that change, especially for people that are in my demographic and usually have pretty similar political views?

Points well taken, however the drive-by shite poster SDVTiger is everything the opposite of what you just posted.
Going on a month and SDV is still banned

putin recognizes this and wants to uncover all of the crooked dealings that happened in ukraine post 2014 and wants to save the western world by exposing biden, our corrupt media, and reestablish trump who is the only man who can save the united states and the world
