This has been the information war that's been talked about. Russia claiming the breakaway states and Russian genocide wasn't for the international community to believe but to make the invasion more palatable to the Russian people. Biden might have actually screwed Putin on this one by announcing that Russia was planning a false flag attack (assuming it was true).

Fighter bombers going low and fast certainly but large bombers will be flying close to their ceiling with a full contingent of electronic countermeasure assets with them, especially this early. Based on the secondary explosion and debris trail I am going with a Kh-55SM cruise missile.

There's no way Russia would be flying a bomber over a contested city at low altitude. It was probably a cruise missile.

You would think, but this invasion is turning out to be a real slapdick affair. I could see them being just that haphazard. They may win anyway due to numbers, but this whole thing has been planned incredibly poorly, and implemented just as badly.
The Russians are supposed to be masters of covert work, and Putin is a KGB guy. Where are the assassinations, the sabotage? They appear to have lazily assumed Ukraine would just roll over and none of that was necessary
