If the T-14 were operational the Russians wouldn't be putting prototype T-80UM-2 variants into action. There is documented evidence of one being destroyed.

Think about the number of Russians killed trying to take the Hostomel airfield. They've now abandoned it and most everything else near Kyiv.

I will try to answer your question but I am not a tanker.
At the root of your question, the T80 seems to be deployed in higher numbers than the T90 in Ukraine.
However, the T90 is arguably not more advanced than the T80U. Note Russia doesn't have a lot of T90s or T80Us their numbers are still mainly in the T72s. The T80 is an evolution of the T64 which is actually more of an elite tank in many ways compared to the T72. The T90 is an evolution of the T72, simpler and easier to maintain (think the AK of tanks). Many will argue the T90 is inferior especially given its power to weight ratio since it still uses a diesel engine but Russia being Russia had issues maintaining the original turbine engine so they went back to diesel but the T80U has a significantly more powerful diesel than the T90.
So Russia has both T90s and T80s in Ukraine and one could argue which is more advanced and that depends on the particular model of each. My guess most knowledgeable people would say the T80U is the most advanced tank in operation in Ukraine currently, well at least until the vapor-ware echelons of Nosler's T-14 "come over the berm".
It has become clear watching this engagement that Russia has an even more mixed arsenal of equipment than we thought. There are lots of supposedly upfitted models of various machines that were supposed to be available in great numbers but are actually extremely limited.
In the end, a well-trained highly motivated crew in a Ukrainian T64 is a better weapon than a poorly trained conscript crew in a T80U. Then again a nerd with a joystick and a drone or a grunt with a Javelin can defeat either one...
