Honestly, this just sucks.
Don’t get me wrong, Russian troops have committed plenty of atrocities, but the human in me can’t help but feel bad for those people that got brainwashed into believing they were being sent to do something noble, only to enable the will of a madman ruling their country.
What a fricking waste of life, money, and time.

The Chechens are part of Kadryzov's personal army. The fact that they're so well kitted out indicates they're being used for rear area shite, probably terrorizing civilians and any regular troops who may have an idea to retreat or desert. Front line combat troops would be filthy and would have thrown away anything they didn't need.
FWIW there are also Chechens fighting for aUkraine.
