I’m just saying it would have been better to send a potted plant with a “Get Well Soon” card attached to it over our moron of a VP.

I assume all the fields in the area are likely too wet and muddy to traverse reliably. Perhaps they thought that since the weather was so bad, the threat of drones strikes was also minimal.
Some of those impacts look like artillery fire to me. I suspect that the Ukrainians are getting some extremely precise and real time targeting data from us. Or at the very least we’ve given their artillery forward observers the newest laser range finders that can give pinpoint accurate locations to their firing batteries. It doesn’t look like they’re adjusting rounds onto target. Either they have their drones above the weather dropping gps guided munitions or they have hyper accurate artillery. Either one requires good and real time targeting data.

I think it was noted in the thread with the Russian tire problem that their vehicles can't handle off-roading.
Well, that's as useful as a concrete parachute.
And given how this is going for them, I'd bet their airborne troops have a few of those laying around somewhere...

You think the footage was from a drone they were using for spotting?

The accurate PID is coming from drones and they had that chokepoint dimed.

This is what I've assumed too (although my thoughts were less...developed). Meaning that for all the pomp and slick PR out of Kyiv, it appears Ukraine is having a ton of success we're not seeing much about, and I imagine that could be coming from close collaboration with us.

Ukrainian artillery fire has been money. The PID is a local product from drones that have ranging capability and the Russians have zip for counter battery detection and fires so shoot and move a little no real danger from counter battery fire.

Utah man rents car, drives into Ukraine to transport refugees fleeing the country

A Spanish Fork man was able to transport 14 Ukrainians to Poland in a rental car during his three-day trip to the war-torn area.
David Gashler felt compelled to help as his wife is a native of Ukraine, he speaks the language and had once called the country home.

I agree with your take on it. Pretty good shooting it looks like.
However, it seemed to be a little thin. Idk if they're trying to conserve their rounds or what, but it looked like they could have done a sweep of the grid and taken out a lot more of the vehicles. After the rounds stopped coming, the vast majority of the convoy was able to get out of the area.
Maybe they were targeting specific vehicles. Maybe the possibility collateral damage was too high in that area. I don't know, but it would have been cool to see them rain down a lot more rounds on that column.

I thought they were trying to cut the head and tail off the snake and then go in with RPG's, LAWs and the like to mop up later. I would imagine they have more of those resources than artillery. But that's a total guess.

If you're attacking a convoy, your first targets are the ones with the big antennas. Second targets are supply vehicles.

It looks like it was snowing in some of those videos so I doubt they were putting many drones up that day. Maybe a Walmart style quadcopter that can stay low and is expendable. If that’s the case I assume our guys have helped modify them with some sort of targeting equipment.

You don't need targeting equipment if you have a map with accurate distances and know the windage...

I started my morning going to Daily Mail and saw a video of the destruction of a movement of Russian Tanks.
LINK
The video was probably taken from a highrise overlooking the action. The action, on a four lane road in a city.
Much dustier than a video game.
Sitting ducks.
