I think we may finally be seeing the main battle tank as no longer a viable weapon on the modern battlefield.
I think tanks with explosive reactive armor are still relevent. The relief for us is the Russians semmingly lack that technology for the time being.
MBT's would benefit from explosive reactive tech and drone swarm defense. Maybe antimissile lasers can be developed as well. Essentially surround the tank in light drones that destroy the warhead at suboptimal distance from the main armor.

I’ve seen plenty of blown up Russian tanks with reactive armor on them the past few weeks.

There’s a bit more to it than that.
Obviously but you can do all sorts of things. Hell have an american pilot get the drone in the air, teach the Ukrainian to fly it it and fire missiles while the American is observing and providing advice.
The Soviets sent Russian pilots into Korea and actively fought American fighters. WWIII didn't happen then. I believe the Chinese and Soviets had fighters in Vietnam.
We also allowed American pilots to fight Japan in China prior to WWII. They were "separated" from the US Army Air Corps and fought as contractors for China.
My point being, the West wets their pants at the thought of direct conflict with Russia while history has told us those commie bastards give zero fricks doing so themselves.

I just think there is still a place for mechanized warfare. A countermeasure will be developed and likely has within the USA Army

IYAM the modern high intensity battlefield is becoming too lethal for humans. If the tank is a sitting duck, so is the infantryman, to an adversary with granular enough sensing and targeting.

Not terrible ideas. I think logistically it’s difficult, especially in the time frame required. Drones aren’t the hardest things in the world to operate but it’s not as easy an Xbox game. The bigger issue is getting spare parts and trained mechanics to service the drones. The vast majority of drones that are capable of carrying ordinance, or at least ordinance large enough to take out an armored vehicle still require a runway. Those are in short supply in Ukraine and probably getting worse by the day.

legend in my mind should award WDE's facebook friend a few points for this word. What a great word.
He used a thesaurus for that shite. No way he pulled that out for that sentence with no outside help. Only two points.

I don't think anything in this war is concerning itself with "normal".

Every morning Igor goes for a stroll through the nearby forest.
Today, Igor found a Russian Army 9K330 Tor SAM system abandoned in the forest.
Now Igor owns a $20 million SAM system.
Congratulations Igor. LINK
