Just heard on Fox that Chernobyl has been disconnected from the power grid. Not sure what it means right now, but I know it's not good.

Are we seriously going to have to go through the same rigamarole of the conspiratorial glue-sniffing, schizoid personality types, with very little understanding of the scientific enterprise, always proclaiming that some lab in a foreign country is producing “weapons”?
I get it. You watched The Rock (1996) while smoking pot and eating Cap’N Crunch and you now think you have it all figured out. Johnson & Johnson is secretly in cahoots with the United States to build chemical and biological weapons in Prague.
Edit: “Ohhh....orange biohazard bags. Vials that say ‘virus.’ That means BAD!”
- Someone who obviously has never visited the biology department of the SEC university they root for.

So the administration is concerned Russia has control over labs containing biology specimens? Seems like something the US wouldn't care about
Pretty sure the US is already flat out warning of a biological attack now because of the lab takeovers

Personally, I think the threat of chemical/bio attacks from the Russians is also wildly exaggerated.
That being said, it is my understanding that the link between the labs and the Russian threat is less to do with what the Russians may utilize from the labs and more so that the Russians may false-flag the pre-existence of chemical/biological weapons in Ukraine as a pretext for retaliating with their own.
It all seems like wild speculation to me though, and I doubt it will be used.
Edit: Wall Street Journal
quote:
White House press secretary Jen Psaki lashed out at Russian claims that the U.S. was developing chemical weapons in Ukraine, warning it could be a pretext for Moscow to use such weapons itself. Russia on Wednesday alleged without proof that the U.S. was carrying out military biological activities in Ukraine. A senior North Atlantic Treaty Organization official said there are serious concerns that Russia is setting the stage to use chemical weapons in the war-torn country. “It’s the kind of disinformation operation we’ve seen repeatedly from the Russians over the years in Ukraine and in other countries,” Ms. Psaki wrote in a series of tweets late Wednesday afternoon. They “have been debunked, and an example of the types of false pretexts we have been warning the Russians would invent.” Ms. Psaki also accused China of parroting Russia’s claims and said, “We should all be on the lookout for Russia to possibly use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine, or to create a false flag operation using them. It’s a clear pattern.”
Again, take or leave Psaki’s statement. But the “threat” she’s fearing is that the Russians/Chinese are using this to establish a pretext for the abandonment of international norms regarding the prohibition of chemical/biological weapons.
Edit: Occam’s razor would suggest that the motivation for the Russian misinformation on these labs is more of a Russian version of “aluminum tubes/yellow cake” that Bush used as a pretext for invading Iraq. Doesn’t mean the US was ever in danger of using nukes of our own in Iraq. It just provided a convenient excuse for an inexcusable war.

Our retard of a Vice President laughing about the refugee crisis in front of the President of Poland. She doesn’t have an answer so let the Polish President answer instead. I mean, my God she’s just awful. What a national embarrassment: Twitter

I hate that woman, but that was a laugh about who was going to answer the long and complicated question first. It was an over the top laugh as usual, but far from inappropriate

And then provided no answer and simply let Duda take it. These people know nothing and simply hide behind faux outrage or, in Kamala’s case, faux laughter.

It was either linked in here pages back or I stumbled across it being shared on Twitter by someone else I follow. Seems to know his stuff, but I’m not a nuclear physicist either

After watching that video. I have a couple of questions.
Why in the world, with all of the open terrain around that location would you concentrate your forces through that choke point? You maximize your exposure while minimizing your ability to strike back.

But that’s the point. She laughed it off and pointed to the Polish President to answer the question. Whenever Kamala Harris doesn’t have an answer she just laughs her arse off and says something that has nothing to do with the question waiting for someone or something to come rescue her. Like when she was asked about the border a few months ago, she smarted off and said “And I haven’t been to Europe.” This isn’t funny in the slightest. I couldn’t imagine laughing about this. She talks like I do when I’m on mushrooms.

I assume all the fields in the area are likely too wet and muddy to traverse reliably. Perhaps they thought that since the weather was so bad, the threat of drones strikes was also minimal.

I agree, and it's her biggest tell when she doesn't know what to do next, but I don't get the outrage on this one. It seemed pretty reasonable to me.

In front of the Polish President? They’re not known to be the warmest people with a good sense of humor. Honestly this has to be going through the Polish President’s head:

I think it was noted in the thread with the Russian tire problem that their vehicles can't handle off-roading.

There are plenty of things to get outraged about. This ain't one of them. You're gonna give yourself a goddamn heart attack, man.
