It's not a bad thing at all. You have two people that hate each other, you need a mediator (Trump). Zelensky managed to piss Trump off because he took bad advice from his Democrat handlers in DC and acted like a child in the fricking Oval Office of this great country.
And borders have changed and land cedar and gained throughout the history of mankind. But all of a sudden, were supposed to act like the borders of 2021 are sacred for the rest of history on this planet? Of course Ukraine will have to cede territory. They've lost territory on the battlefield.

from Grok:
I dug into the claim about the US dismantling the Rzeszow airbase platform. A March 9, 2025, article from LINK confirms the US removed a multi-hectare transport hub set up in 2021 for Ukraine-bound cargo, down to the paving slabs. This aligns with Trump’s aid suspension, as reported by The New York Times same day, noting the US halted military support to pressure Ukraine. No official press release found, but the footage and policy shift reports check out.
NOTE: Grok references a Russian news site... so who knows if it's a valid report?

Would any other Ukrainian who won election who was not a Putin puppet not be an enemy to Putin?

Since 1945 these kinds of things have not been permitted. WWII was fought to stop it, after all of human history before that was wars of conquest.
That was a positive thing. The result was called "The Long Peace," and is a remarkable outlier in human history.
A world where a bigger country attacks a smaller one because it wants to control it, or two big countries fight over land, is not going to be a peaceful one... because a smaller country will make up what it lacks in artillery and troops with terrorist acts.
So when Iraq and Iran roll into Kuwait or Saudi Arabia...

Was Kursk "worth it" if the Ukes manage to retreat and are prepared to defend Sumy?
NYT: Russian Forces Depleted and Stalling on Eastern Front, Ukraine Says
The front line inside Ukraine has become more static, Ukrainian soldiers say, even as Russia regains ground in its own Kursk region.
Ukrainian forces have stalled the Russian offensive in the eastern Donetsk region in recent months and have started to win back small patches of land, according to Ukrainian soldiers and military analysts.
Russia still holds the initiative, and conducts dozens of assaults across the eastern front every day, the soldiers and analysts say. But after more than 15 months on the offensive, Russian brigades have been depleted and Moscow is struggling to replace destroyed equipment, offering limited opportunities that Ukrainian forces are trying to exploit.
“The Russian offensive effort in Donetsk has stalled in recent months due to poor weather, exhaustion among Russian forces, and effective Ukrainian adaptation to the way Russian troops have been fighting,”

Point must have went over your head. I wasn't commenting on his political bases cares or actual policies. Rather, referring to the previous comment that Trump doesn't have much leverage to get Russia to the table and I was merely commenting that it was a bit of a self inflicted wound. He could have suspended aid on a condition of a ceasefire rather than just removing it from the board from jump. If you want to talk about the political part of it take it to the poli board

Yes. Like Lee B said, that went out of style with the conclusion of WW2. I'd say after WW1, it was falling of favor. WW2 sealed it, though there were conflicts in The Cold War due to ideological differences within a country/residual colonialism (Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan).
National sovereignty is a thing and violating it isn't acceptable.

Daily Dot: Who is Dark Storm Team? Hacking collective takes credit for massive X DDoS attack
Earlier today, the same account retweeted a post from @syposecure, which announced the attack and posted a screenshot of a Telegram channel.
“To anyone wondering why X (Twitter) was down, it was under attack by Dark Storm Team,” it wrote.
That screenshot is from the Telegram channel for Dark Storm Team, which first boasted of its efforts at 10:03am ET, around the time X outages started to pop up.
DDoS? That's like 2008 teenager anonymous stuff... "low orbit ion cannon" or whatever it was called. I saw it loaded on a demo computer in Comp USA once that someone had set up and left firing...

Not to throw this off-topic in this thread, but when has the US done it?
I mean, Trump wants to do it now to Canada and Greenland... hopefully he'll fail and it won't get to military action...
But since WW1, when has the US violated national sovereignty?
Korea and Vietnam were Civil Wars, basically... Korea happened because we foolishly left South Korea under-armed when we were its security guarantor. The South Vietnamese government requested our help when the French gave up trying to protect them from the North Vietnamese... we eventually gave up, and the North won.
Afghanistan? Iraq? So... are those the 51 and 52 US States? US Territories? Are they even controlled by the people we'd prefer be in charge of them at this point?
No... whether they were clusterfricks or not, we built our case to the international community who supported the missions, and we turned the countries over to their people... well, in Afghanistan Trump bizarrely negotiated our withdrawal with The Taliban instead of the Afghan government... then I will not let Biden off the hook for going along with that plan in a rush to pull out of the country, which had also had Democratic elections under our time, there.
"The USA is Evil" doesn't play with me... even at our lowest point (which would be now) hopefully stuff gets corrected by the electorate and the next administration.

I don’t think the USA is evil but we definitely invaded Iraq because we just felt like it and then occupied it for about 15 years.
I don’t think Russia would’ve annexed Ukraine anyways. I think they would’ve installed a puppet government like we did in Iraq.

We initially invaded to drive Iraq out of Kuwait and away from Saudi Arabia.
