I don't know how you pull it off successfully, and then you have the same supply problem which forced them to retreat the first time, unless they push forward and take Nikolaev
They did two contested crossings on the Oskil north of Kupiasnk recently, but that's 100 feet of water, vs more than half a mile. The right bank of the Dnieper is also quite high in the Kherson area
I don't think they'll do it, but who knows, they might try it in a fit of avos

I doubt they try a contested crossing, the FPV drones would feast on the wide-open Russians stuck on a pontoon bridge.

The Russians have flooded Kherson with FPV drones, it's an easy target, and there was footage two days ago of three bombs hitting what was described as a hub for Ukrainian drone operators on the other bank
