Kitschko is a true Ukrainian. The distinctive "ko" name and also an orthodox Christian. Zelenskyy is neither.

GOP_Tiger said he was "leaning towards" voting for Joe Biden in this very thread (just prior the assassination attempt on DJT in Butler).

What a lunatic.

russian human safari update

In January, drones cause more civilian casualties in Ukraine than any other weapon – UN

In January 2025, short-range drones caused more civilian deaths and injuries than any other weapon, striking people in their cars, buses, and on the streets.

This was reported by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMNU) on Tuesday, February 11, according to Ukrinform.

"According to HRMMU’s verified data, published today in its monthly update on the protection of civilians, at least 139 civilians were killed and 738 injured in Ukraine in January 2025. Thirty-eight civilian deaths (27 per cent) and 223 injuries (30 per cent) resulted from attacks with short-range drones dropping explosives onto civilians, often in their private vehicles or on public transport," the report states.

Daniel Bell, Head of the Mission, emphasized that short-range drones currently pose one of the deadliest threats to civilians in frontline areas.

The Mission reported that in January, 95% of casualties from short-range drone attacks occurred in Ukrainian-controlled territory, while 5% occurred in Russian-occupied areas.

"The majority of civilian casualties from short-range drones have occurred in government-controlled parts of Kherson, particularly along the Dnipro River. In January, these drones caused 70 per cent of all civilian casualties in the region," the Mission noted.

The HRMMU also documented an increase in civilian casualties from short-range drone attacks in other frontline areas, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

According to documented data, the number of civilian casualties from short-range drones increased significantly throughout 2024, with a sharp rise in the second half of the year.

SPOILER FROM THREAD: "These billionaires consistently prioritize their business interests over American interests. They rely on China for its market, labor, and natural resources, which leads them to avoid confronting China, regardless of its actions."

That dude was around 3 years ago never had any military service before and on interviews only talked about his little camping stove being so handy. Pretty much a fake news guy for Ukraine side 3 years ago and now again.

Slovak PM: We Can Cut Off Ukraine’s Gas Supply from Europe—Without It, They’ll Freeze

?? “For several days now, gas has been flowing to Ukraine through a reverse pipeline—the gas without which Ukraine would freeze. Slovakia plays no role in this. The suppliers are foreign companies. However, we have the moral right to consider ways to stop these foreign deliveries, which amount to around 7.5 million cubic meters per day,” said Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

?? He added that these gas supplies are driving up prices on the European market.

? “We are actively discussing this issue both domestically and at the European level because Europe is making a fool of itself. Ukraine can harm it as much as it wants,” Fico stated.

?? Earlier reports revealed that Ukraine has been ramping up gas imports from Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland due to domestic shortages.

A theory on The Firehoser...

Social Media Addiction: Dopamine Design and the Slot Machine ...
A "dopamine addiction" related to social media refers to the phenomenon where the constant stimulation from likes, comments, and other social interactions on platforms trigger the brain's reward system, releasing dopamine (a "feel-good" chemical), leading to compulsive usage that can resemble an addiction, with users feeling compelled to repeatedly check their feeds for that instant gratification.

Key points about dopamine and social media:

Brain chemistry:
When you receive a like, comment, or positive social interaction on social media, your brain releases dopamine, creating a pleasurable sensation that encourages you to repeat the behavior. Cypher - I would modify this definition to include any interaction.

Design for engagement:
Social media platforms are designed to be highly engaging, with features like infinite scrolling, notifications, and algorithms that deliver content likely to trigger dopamine release.

Variable reward schedule:
Similar to slot machines, the unpredictable nature of social media interactions (not knowing when you'll get a like (cypher - or dislike) or comment) can further amplify dopamine release and keep users hooked.

Negative consequences:
Excessive social media use driven by dopamine seeking can lead to anxiety, depression, feelings of inadequacy, and disrupted sleep patterns.
