Does anyone seriously think that if they give him these two republics he will be content? I say, frick that, it'll be a huge win for him and will embolden them to go for more, just like it did for Hitler.

If that's true, then I have no clue how Ruassia can sustain their current invasion

Here come the pro-Russian posters who will say that Kyiv will be surrounded within 24 hours (of course they have been saying that for at least the last 5 days and Russian forces are only on Kyiv's northwestern border) and that Russia has the Ukrainians surrounded and cut off when that is not the case at all.

Do we have any translators?

I'm under the impression that tweet screencap is from a member of the Ukrainian delegation per this Ukrainian news agency.

Here are the first results of the negotiations. There are slight shifts in the logistics of humanitarian corridors.

At face value I have zero issue with them promising not to join NATO & Crimean INDEPENDENCE...as long as there's a clause included that rolls that back if Russia meddles in future Ukrainian/Crimean affairs. But Russia needs to be told to GFY when it comes to Donestk & Lugansk and pay reparations
This . Although I am less familiar with the Donbas region I was willing to part with it as well to get the Russians the hell out of "my Country". Maybe I'm conceding too much, but after watching the destruction/ suffering in just 2 weeks of war Ukraine would look like Somalia soon.

Zero percent chance Putin repays Ukraine for the hundreds of billions in infrastructure & personal property damage , but it should not be a part of negotiations. The Russian Federation should owe this money and sanctions by the EU /US never removed until they pay.

It is pretty well known that the majority of the people east of the Dnieper identify as Russian.

He will secure the SE area and then back off, taking Kiev is a faint move to tie up Ukrainian resources.

It seems a lot of people forget this was one of the main reasons WWII happened

Is the Russian proposal for Ukraine to recognize Luhansk and Donetsk as independent territories the way they do to some of their own autonomous regions?

It seems different than what they want for Crimea, which they want absorbed directly into Russia.

Crimea has a HUGE economic value vs two relatively low impact regions to Ukraine's East

From what I've read the Crimean off-shore exclusive economic zone could be worth billions if not a trillion dollars over the next century

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis (a Ukrainian immigrant herself) have raised $15 million for Ukraine giving $3 million dollars themselves: Fox News

Honestly Ashton and Mila just seem like quality people in general. Ashton has raised millions in fighting and acknowledging the sex slave industry as well.

Well, he's sure sacrificed a shite ton of men and resources in an effort to take the Hostomel airfield that, according to you, is of no use to him. Taking that airfield is crucial in the Russian effort to take Kyiv, which again, is if no real use or significance to Putin in your opinion.

What is actually playing out on the battlefield doesn't support your assertion. It does, however, support Putin's stated goals when he launched the invasion.

Has Russia launched any more cruise missiles? A news report last night said they believed Russia's inventory of servicable land attack missiles is nearly empty

I can't imagine thinking Kyiv was a feint. The amount of men, machines, and materials he committed to the northern axis is not remotely indicative of a feint. Now that doesn't mean Russia didn't choose a multi-axis attack versus a single attack sweeping across from the south very deliberately. Russia's vast numbers superiority makes opening all axis advantageous to them. One of the major objectives was originally to take Kyiv anyone that thinks otherwise is daft. They may change course and focus on the south at some point but they absolutely wanted to take Kyiv and install new leadership.

Oh this is just gold from Brian Stelter of all fricking people:

Russian officials are building digital and legal walls to shield citizens from the truth. People in other countries are also noticing the consequences — like a sudden lack of live reports from Moscow. But history tells us that info always finds a way out.

And notice how he also isn’t allowing comments, because he’d be raked across the coals by everyone except Oliver Darcy for saying this. Granted the Eunuch will be out of his job by the end of the year since Zucker is no longer there to protect him.

Not to mention some pretty brutal fighting in Kharkiv and Sumy. They've been trading blows bigly in Kharkiv and that isn't close to the SE region that poster was claiming all that Russia wants.
