Thats great news, lets hope Putin is ready to negotiate.

ETA: It's a smart move by Ukraine; if Russia doesn't come to the table, it gives Trump what he needs to ratchet up the pressure on Russia.

Biden’s last minute sanctions have hurt Russia

No they have not

I think that this is the 5th time you've pasted this report based on the Russian Ministry of Finance's claims. If you post and paste just one more time, I'm sure that people here will finally be convinced that Russia is a prosperous place, with a full bottle of vodka inside every home and an outhouse outside every home.

Trump could well be correct. It's not like Russians reserve decent care when wounded, and it takes them longer to get treatment than normal soldiers would receive.

Its a report from Bloomberg. I will take that over "sources familiar with the situation" crap that was posted saying Russia's economy was going to Collapse. The NAFO Troll brigade has been saying that since 2022

“Brave” Forces Secure New Territories and Nearly Break Through to the Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka Highway

?? The “Center” group of forces has made a breakthrough on the right flank of the Pokrovsk direction (east of Myrnohrad), breaching enemy defenses and clearing the Baranivka area, securing a stretch over 3 km wide and more than 1.1 km deep:
? Russian troops have practically cut off the Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka highway, with less than a kilometer remaining to reach it.
? North of Vozdvyzhenka, Russian forces advanced over 1 km toward the “Malynivska” junction.

?? Ukrainian sources report that on the Myrnohrad front, after securing Baranivka, Russian troops began advancing toward Zelenyi Hai. They have now reached its outskirts, with ongoing battles for the Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka highway.

?? On the left flank, Russian forces liberated Novovasylivka, advanced over 600 meters into the southern part of Novoandriivka, and seized multiple forest belts south of Ukrainka, covering a 3 km-wide area up to 2 km deep. Between Petropavlivka and Shevchenko, they secured a “pocket” over 2.15 km wide."

That is obvious. You are a typical NAFO troll that when prevented with facts that go against your point you like to stick your fingers in your ears.

Zelensky has been saying for a couple months now how we need to end the war. It’s really Putin who everyone is waiting on.

Trump said 'Killed'. The discussion has been on whether he was accurate or not.

I heard him say that, but like I previously stated, I believe he misspoke and meant total casualties.

OK let’s try again, do you think 800K Russian casaualtues and 700K Ukrainian casualties is way off?

I don’t believe anyone here believes there have been 1.5 million total deaths.

I know how to logically assess a situation without bias unlike yourself. You are cheerleading, I am logically assessing the situation.

"As we've reported, President Donald Trump has been warning and urging for Russia to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine or else things will get worse for Moscow, also as Trump has threatened Russia with new tariffs and sanctions if no solution is found.

But the Kremlin in response appears to have simply shrugged off this threat of sanctions and tariffs, saying in a statement that "we do not see any particularly new elements here" and that "we remain ready for equal and mutually respectful dialogue."

Trump's strong statements are intended to build some quick leverage for Ukraine at the negotiating table - leverage which it clearly doesn't have on the battlefield as Russian forces continue to make strategic advances around the key city of Pokrovsk.

I thought everyone handling Ukraine arms delivery in the Pentagon was getting fired or reassigned?

Some screenshot posted in this thread told me so?

Trump’s 90-day foreign add suspension order does not impact weapon deliveries to Ukraine, Pentagon says

by Sonya Bandouil January 23, 2025 10:52 PM

U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order suspending foreign aid programs for 90 days does not apply to military assistance for Ukraine, the Pentagon confirmed to the Ukrainian Service of Voice of America on Jan. 23.

“Security assistance to Ukraine is not subject to the restrictions of the recent foreign assistance order, as it only applies to development programs, not military support,” the U.S. Department of Defense stated.

Contracts under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) and weapon deliveries from U.S. warehouses under the Presidential Depletion Authority (PDA) will remain unaffected.

Look. This is a report from Fox News saying that the claims that Democrats covered up Biden's health problems are BS. Did you hear me? This report isn't from some lefty outfit -- it's from Foxnews, OK?

During the Trump transition, any posts originating from overseas about goings on in the US government or Pentagon should be immediately discounted until there is corroborating reporting from a US source.

What Ivan posted may or may not be true, but until an American source reports it, it should be viewed with skepticism.

And I already said in our conversation that was not a big deal and I didn't think it would end aid to Ukraine. The Trump Administration putting new people in those positions would not be shocking

Thats a bold strategy Cotton, you are getting the shat kicked out of you trying to keep from having your last key logistical town being taken......and you send the drones hundreds of miles away.
