What I am concerned with is the death toll. NYT says that half a million have been killed with Russia losing 400,000 military personnel. That would mean that just about their entire Army has been wiped out in less than 2 years. I call bullshite.

Let me guess: you're another idiot in this thread who believes that "there was Gorbachev", and "then Yeltsin came along later"???

Also, that quote you attributed to me was actually written from a link from the other guy's post.

Layers of lies - that's what Solzhenitsyn called much of the same type thing going on in here

So you get your info from that leftist bitch on FOX, or all the leftist bitches on CNN?

Do you understand timelines?

Do you understand some lies are almost three decades old?

I think they've taken 100k casualties, max figure. And it's probably 60k.

When the BBC did their obituary survey, the total was much lower than expected. And there's no sign of domestic distress that you would get with a big death toll. The battlefield would also look very different, thinner defenses, fewer unit rotations.

That total is a Ukrainian figure, and it was probably intended to justify their own losses to the public. Washington has been 'okay' pushing it, because it serves purpose.

I do not have watch cable news. I do not even have cable. I do not even know which leftist bitches you are referring to (there's a leftist bitch at Fox?).

Am I to suppose that you advocate getting one's news exclusively from pure sources such as Newsmax and Tucker? I suppose that doing so could protect one from any views contaminated by reality.

You just keep digging your hole.

There is a massive difference between an executive agreement and a treaty.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 07 February 2024

The new field commander of the Russian private military company Wagner, Anton "Lotos" Yelizarov, has made his first video statement since the death of Wagner's former owner Yevgeny Prigozhin and the former field commander Dmitry "Wagner" Utkin in an August 2023 plane crash.

In his video, Yelizarov detailed the location of Wagner's new headquarters at Kazachi Lageri "Cossack Camps", almost certainly in Rostov, southern Russia, co-located with the barracks of Russia's 150th Motor Rifle Division. Yelizarov further claimed that Wagner's new base would also house the Russian National Guard's (Rosgvardiya) new Volunteer Corps, implicitly confirming Wagner's subordination to Rosgvardiya. Rosgvardiya is likely preparing a new Volunteer Corps formation of experienced Wagner personnel to reinforce Russia's war effort in Ukraine and expand Russian influence in Africa.

The Russian state highly likely authorised the construction of Wagner's new base and highly likely perceives that by subordinating Wagner to Rosgvardiya, it has removed any potential threat Wagner might pose to Russia's regime security.

Baker discussing it and advocating for it never gave it force of law, treaty, or international agreement. It gives it the force of a policy position one camp in the Elder Bush administration chose to try to advocate for-- nothing more and nothing less, unlike the Trilateral Agreement which actually was on paper, and actually was ratified, and that actually exists beyond dispute.

In other words, you root mightily for war provocateurs

So when Clinton made the USA into liars, you cheered that. You loved it.

I see.

Lie and provoke and poke and fan the flames for endless war, and little chickenhawks back home on message boards will cheer it.

I see.

So if rabid leftist freak doesn't like James Baker's views on gun control or abortion, then that renders James Baker null and void on global agreements? How embarrassing for you that you would even post that out in the open, wow. Please take "Vanderbilt" off of your fan insignia, Vanderbilt should cancel you

No.
They should be considered for what they are; conversations, discussions, bargaining.

Why?

Do you think Putin is going to say anything that is going to undermine his position? I don’t.

Putin goes public all the time. He handles interviews well. I do not expect anything new.

I’m very sorry that you don’t understand that EXECUTIVE AGREEMENTS ARE NOT BINDING and they last only as long both leaders are in power.

The second the leader of either country changes, that executive agreement is no longer valid.

EXECUTIVE AGREEMENTS are NOT TREATIES and are NOT binding.

I’m sorry that you can’t figure that out.
