I don't know about in perpetuity, but I'd think indefinitely. And make sure all the NATO nations in the area are armed and defended to the teeth. I wouldn't trust Putin and Russia at all and I'd think NATO and the western democracies would be ready to stop any more moves he would make.

No doubt they are inflated numbers. Both sides running same equipment basically, easy to frick up. I guess a kill is a kill.

The sanctions are pretty meaningless after the fact of the invasion. The options to end the conflict are appeasement or regime change. I don’t know which one is worse.
