I understand that a new biodegradable plastic is made in Ukraine from dead Russians.

I think every US aid package ive seen since the start, included tens of millioms small arms rounds.
I know it would be next to impossible to get reliable figures with caches being captured or hit in strikes, but it would be fascinating to see figures on how many have been expended by each side.

Aren't those the same type of Helicopters the Ukrainians shot down a month or two ago on the same day they shot down at least another fighter jet, maybe 2?

You count on one hand the amount of EW helios Russia has left and most of those are probably in Crimea.

Look for Girkin and others to have a much different tune the rest of the week.

Rybar thinks that Ukraine is gearing up for a major operation across the Dnipro in the Kherson region.

Attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the Dnieper: fighting near the Antonovsky bridge
situation by the end of June 27, 2023
In the area of ??the Antonovsky bridge, clashes continue with the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, entrenched under the remains of the crossing near Dacha on the banks of the Dnieper. Today, the aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces tried to strike at the shelters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the river, but to no avail.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Sadovoye and Pravdino to hunt for Russian combat aircraft. This complicated the work of front-line aviation on targets in this area.
??Their search, detection and defeat by Lancet drones and FPV drones is also complicated: when approaching the contact area, the operators lose the signal. This may be due to the activities of electronic warfare units.
! Also, from the Dnipropetrovsk region, the transfer of units of the 93rd Ombre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Antonovsky bridge and the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station began on an emergency basis. The 93rd brigade was recovering from the fighting in the Bakhmut area. In Antonovka, pontoon crossings and engineering groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already been noticed.
??The main forces should arrive in the coming days to carry out an operation to force the Dnieper River in the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and capture Novaya Kakhovka. Considering the existing foothold near the Antonovsky bridge and a certain distraction of Russian troops to this area, a strike from the side of Kozatsky would be quite logical.

EWAs are valuable and if reports are true Russia doesn't have many. Knocking them out goes along with the mantra "shot the funny stuff first".

My point is that they have lost 4 of these in the last 2 months.
2 lost to Ukraine on May 13th
2 lost to Wagner this week.
That's 4 total, I wonder how many they had.
Found an article discussing it from May 13th, 2023
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/videos-show-helicopter-apparently-shot-down-russia-near-ukrainian-border-2023-05-13/
ETA: Found this article while I was looking for articles about this variant of Mi-8

This says they only had 1, but that was in October of 2022. We know 4 have been shot down, do they have any more?

The Russian Armed Forces have developed a significant number of advanced weapon systems and air assets during the “special operation” in Ukraine. However, analyst interest has focused on a rare and unique version of them which has appeared in Ukraine, in the Mi-8 MTPR-1 Rychag with a special role of suppression of enemy air defense (SEAD -Suppression of Enemy Air Defense).
The Mi-8MTPR-1 helicopter is an upgraded model of the usual Mi-8MTV-5-1 outfitted with the Reichg-AV EW system. The use of this helicopter in the Ukraine war was recently confirmed by a photo issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Rychag-AV (Aviatsyonnyi Vertolotnyi, airborne for helicopter; Rychag-AVE is a derivative for export) EW system suppresses enemy surface-to-air missile (SAM) system fire-control radars by jamming them.
In this way, it provides protection for a group of friendly strike aircraft, helicopters, or drones. The system can also jam the radars of enemy aircraft, thereby offering protection not only for friendly air assets but also helping to defend friendly ground troops that might otherwise come under air attack under some scenarios.
The Rychag-AV system can work fully automatically, without the need for operator participation, according to a pre-set program. In the semi-automatic mode, the operator selects the methods of jamming, while in the manual mode the operator also assesses the overall electromagnetic situation and selects the targets to be jammed.
The Mi-8MTPR-1 is the newest Russian EW helicopter and is currently the only one in production. It’s probably also the only model in active service with the Russian military.
However, despite this material, Russia didn't achieve air supremacy yet in the skies above Ukraine.
This says they only had 1, but that was in October of 2022. We know 4 have been shot down, do they have any more?

Brussels, Belgium – China’s envoy to the European Union has suggested that Beijing could back Ukraine’s aims of reclaiming its 1991 territorial integrity, which includes Crimea – the peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014.
In a recent interview with Al Jazeera and two other media outlets, when Fu Cong was asked about supporting Kyiv’s goals, which includes reclaiming other Ukrainian regions now occupied by Russia, the senior Chinese diplomat said: “I don’t see why not.
“We respect the territorial integrity of all countries. So when China established relations with the former Soviet Union, that’s what we agreed. But as I said, these are historical issues that need to be negotiated and resolved by Russia and Ukraine and that is what we stand for.”

This is Aleksandr Kamyshin, perhaps Ukraine's greatest administrator. I've talked about him before.
When appointed to run Ukraine's rail system, he quickly rooted out corruption and built a system that, despite bombings and the shortages of war, had a better on-time record than many rail systems in Western Europe. When Ukraine took new territory in the Kharkiv offensive, his men would work 24/7 to quickly restore rail service to liberated cities. With no air travel since the start of the war, the rail system had to take on massive expansion, and it did it flawlessly. He opened new routes (such as the Kyiv-Chisinau train), refurbished old carriages, and managed special trains for people such as President Biden.
I remember you doing so and was impressed with what he had achieved then and now even more so.
Going by the article it sounds like Aleksandr has made a very significant impact in only a short period in his new role.
That level of incompetence/corruption in such a key war time industry is nuts and that Ukraine was able to do as well as it did early on before the West pulled its finger out and provided meaningful assistance says a lot about their resolve.
It appears that one of the biggest things against Ukraine in this war has been the holdover corruption and doctrine from their time in the USSR - the centralisation of power, that when things collapsed, made for easy power grabs from those in positions to do so which coupled with the "don't question the boss" approach to so many sphere's of their society has made this an ongoing thorn in their side.

That is a play for "enforcing" the One China principle.

So when China established relations with the former Soviet Union, that’s what we agreed.
So: following that logic we "agreed" on the One China principle so "you guys" shouldn't have an issue with us reestablishing our territorial integrity vis-a-vis Taiwan.
This doesn't take into account the difference in language in the "agreement".

They are not stupid, the group that is aligned against Putin represents their entire customer base, all Putin has to offer is cheap hydrocarbons and you can not even afford that if you are broke.
China DNGAF about Ukraine or really even Russia, what they are scared to death of is a changing world order that leaves then in the cold, the CCP would fall and that is the unthinkable for them.
