Maybe that strike really did leave a hole in the chain of command that Prig is trying to exploit?
The question I just keep asking is what could possibly be the end game for Prig in all this. He seems to have put himself into a corner where the only way out is an open window or control of Russia

Maybe Putin sees this as a way out and sanctioned Prig to go after the MOD.
Putin removes the MOD leadership and uses the "they lied to me narrative" to end the war.
Seems a very low probability to me.
Or more likely put Prig over the MOD and amps up their war efforts.

Interesting to see the reactions from the Pro-Russian twitter channels I monitor of events thus far, they have ranged from being relatively mute, taking a wait and see approach, or trying to draw attention away from footage by making comparisons of the cleanliness of Russian streets to US streets in it as somehow nullifying said footage.
One has also started claiming that Wagner is already withdrawing and this was just a demonstration.
