Someone educate me please on what “musician” means in regard to Wagner.

Musicians are the Wagner soldiers. Based on Wagner being a composer. The Wagner group is sometimes referred to as an orchestra, and the troops are musicians. Sounds pretty lame in translation, maybe it sounds better in Russian.

Wagner is named after the famous composer Richard Wagner.
Ironic given the Russian statements about Nazis in Ukraine.

I’ve been out of pocket today with my family. Am I understanding correctly that this Wagner Group is attempting some sort of coup d'etat or mutiny? And they’re doing it right in the middle of the Ukrainian offensive?

IF Putin wanted an offramp to end the war this would be his chance to do it.
"Due to Wagner PMC actions over the last 48 hours I hereby order all Russian forces to withdraw from Ukraine to deal with the coup...."
I doubt he takes it, but this is his chance to renew his popularity by dealing with Wagner and ending his failed war.
Either way, hopefully Ukraine can continue to blow stuff and take more territory now Wagner is possibly out of the game.

Nobody really knows, but there's a lot of smoke on social media and there's reports of heavy security at key installations in and around Moscow.

Still o huge fog of war but even the major world news outlets have picked up o the story.
But if wagner has forced outside of Ukraine in Russia then there is not much in the way of heavy armor/forces between them and MoD command

I wasn't sure at first if this was a major Ukrainian Psyop; however, now that Russian generals are releasing videos asking the troops not to mutiny and there are reports of Wagner columns leaving Ukraine headed into Russia. I think it's 100% real.
