Go away back to the Poliboard, silly troll. We're here to discuss the actual war, not the homoerotic desire that random Politards have for Vladimir Putin.

Nah. I’ll post wherever I want. Do you not find those headlines strange?

Discussion of the theory that American media outlets have been ordered to report a certain way on Ukraine? That's not what this thread is about.
Chicken has expressly said several times that he does not want this thread to be about politics. So, you'll be able to take up your argument with him.

So the privileged sons of Moscow and St. Petersburg are not being sent to the killing fields of eastern Ukraine.

The deaths per capita for the United States probably wouldn’t look much different for the Iraq/Afghanistan wars to be honest.

Point being, wealthy areas are avoiding mobilization. Not an apples to apples comparison.

Very interesting to see a year's worth of Russian progress towards Bakhmut. The white line is the line prior to the invasion, and then there's a line for each month's worth of gains.

America didn’t have a draft for Iraq/Afghanistan. Don’t you think that’s a meaningful distinction?

Yea...that's my point.

How far are those distances?

I know a lot of NG and Reserve guys who were if not wealthy, comfortably well off. It didn't keep them from going to Iraq and AFG.

From Twitter
A satellite image of Machulishchy airfield in Belarus was published by CNN journalist Gianluca Mezzofiore. Signs of damage are visible on the AWACS A-50 airfraft that was attacked.

quote:This is what we agreed on earlier - weapons now, NATO membership for Ukraine later. However the source is important here. This article is playing to the aforementioned anti-war left voters in Europe: "See, they lied to us. Ukraine will get membership even after we accelerate weapons deliveries."
NATO chief: "Allies have agreed that Ukraine will become a member of our alliance" in the long term.
I wonder who benefits from this kind of inference...

Oh wow. Yeah, I wonder if that plane will fly again. Not for a while for sure.
Posted on 2/28/23 at 11:39 am to GOP_Tiger
The plane could probably fly right now from the looks of it. It’s a pretty grainy picture. If that dark spot on the radar antenna is in fact bomb damage then it’s out of commission for a while as early warning and control aircraft but half of that plane is a dark grey tint so it’s hard to tell.

I mean I get what the meme is trying to show and the top 4 do that
But the bottom 4 are just run of the mill headlines that don't really do anything for the point its trying to make. Zelensky is a comedian turned war hero and was involved in Trumps impeachment due to a phone call.

Would agree, but in our case by those individuals choice vs lack thereof via draft/mobilization.
