I’m sure he’s being followed around by his intel and senior military guys 24/7 dude.

I mean... we’ve been getting reports that he’s suffering from Parkinson’s for a while now. If his mind is going due to the disease all bets are off in what he might be thinking. He very well could be suffering from full blown paranoia and delusions. If he is we can only hope somebody in his inner circle is brave enough to take him out.

A tweet I'm sure many of you have seen that raises a good point IMO

never seen weaponization of money on this scale before…you only get to play the card once. china will make it a priority to need no USD before going for Taiwan. it’s a turning point in monetary history: the end of USD hegemony & the acceleration towards a bipolar monetary order

The only thing that I don't think squares with the "Putin is losing it" theory is that aside from the decision to launch a full scale invasion of Ukraine (I know I know), the war is being managed conservatively to Russia's detriment.

“We’re on the verge of World War III, but I’ll get around to addressing it on Thursday.” That’s acceptable? Go frick yourself extremely stupid mother fricker. If you’re not extremely disturbed, angry, and frightened by that, then it’s a shame your father didn’t nut you against a wall. Don’t have kids.

One of my big concerns is Russian “restitution.” Even if Russia and Ukraine come to a peaceful conclusion somehow soon, the effects of the sanctions imposed throughout this week will reverberate for quite some time. It’s going to create some serious economic suffering that will take a while to recover from.
I think it’s possible this will create an ethos of revenge among Russian officials/much of the Russian public, and they’ll be in favor of getting “payback” at some point.
What that payback would look like, I don’t know. But Russian culture is such that people don’t forget being wronged, even though it is totally justified in this case.

That’s what I don’t get, Putin had to know exactly what the repercussions would be. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would gamble on something like swift. And if that’s the case then why is it so important to him to take Ukraine knowing exactly what the ramifications would be?
Because he had it in his mind that Ukrainians are basically the same as they were in the USSR days when there was basically no difference between them and Russians. He didn't account that Ukraine has been independent for 31 years and most of the population (especially younger, fighting age people) want no part of being part of Russia or under their thumb. He really thought they'd give up or welcome the Russian troops.
And I doubt that any of his advisors were willing to tell him anything other than he wants to hear.

quote:Exactly, not sure what good a cabinet meeting would do. I mean I’m sure we’ll get around to the secretary of the interior when the time is right.
And also by the people who give him his meds, and the ones who tell him what to say and who to call on at his public apppearances. We're in great hands.

You seem stable
“It’s fine to wait 5 days to address this.” It’s better to have someone unstable and smart in power than someone like you whose IQ can’t melt ice. You’re very much retarded if you think that’s acceptable and hopefully you haven’t polluted the gene pool with severely retarded kids.

If you really don’t think the administration is working on this day and night and holding meetings each day, you are an incredible dumbass.

Perhaps we should be thankful

Considering our reliance on China for way too many things that's probably a long term gain for us. Don't have to worry about the whole devaluing thing any further.
