Nah.

Politics are just inherently involved in an armed conflict. The thread isnt primarily about politics.

Its also fair to tell OML and the people arguing with him (and Im guilty too) to STFU and get back to the higher level info/discussions.

Good lord people can y'all give this shite a rest. Can you all tell me where I get the keyboard with the repeat button on it.Maybe if you just say the same shite for the thousandth time in the same thread everyone will change their mind and agree with you.
Can we get back to info about the actual war?

You need to separate the actual villains like Putin from the Russian people.

While I don’t entirely disagree with the sentiment, it is ironic from someone who constantly makes sweeping generalizations / proclamations about large groups of people - including going on tirades about what those people “deserve.”

ETA: Sorry. It’s a shiny hook.

So now it is Twitter employees that rigged the 2020 election? Man it is hard to keep up who is to blame with all these conspiracies going around.

Yes, they censored the Hunter Biden story and banned anyone who dare talk about it. If Elon had run Twitter in 2020, I think Trump would still be President.

Do you not understand the difference between someone forced into a situation and someone voluntarily going into a situation? There’s a big fricking difference there when it comes to judging someone.

do you not see the immense irony in you telling someone not to make generalizations about groups of people when thats literally all you fricking do towards people who have the gall to not agree with you 100% on anything?

The difference is choice and conscription. Yes, I give the benefit of the doubt to the later.

No. They had a thread about it over there and couldn’t keep traction , so they brought the sewage over here.

OML is instructive in the power of propaganda. The painful part is he chooses to consume it.

Don’t forget “every police officer who responded to Uvalde, unless they arrived like 5 minutes before the shooter was killed.” You said they all needed to be charged as accessories to murder. I think you might have said they all needed to be stoned to death at one point, I don’t recall.

Oh please, we were all, Democrats and Republicans alike, on the same page with those frickers. Yeah, if you cower outside outside outnumbering the shooter 300 to 1, then you’ve earned prison. I will give the posters in this thread the benefit of the doubt they would have stormed into that classroom. I don’t know how you can live with yourself and do that.

quote:

You routinely wish misery, death, and misfortune on anyone associated with groups/people you feel have wronged society - you do it constantly. It’s not just Twitter.

The Uvalde Police Force deserve to suffer more than anyone at Twitter. And frick you for defending them. I’ll hear out that there may be some good people at Twitter, but everyone who was on duty that fricking day is a fricking coward and if that happened a century ago, they would have been deservingly hung for such cowardice.

quote:

You can’t literally express glee about “everyone down to the janitor” being fired, proclaim that every IT guy, accountant, or secretary who works for Raytheon or Blackrock is an enemy of the American people, decide that every cop in Uvalde who was ordered not to go inside needs to be jailed for murder (or worse), and then say “hey everybody, let’s remember: Putin’s supporters aren’t the bad guys here.”

You may have a point with the Raytheon and BlackRock secretaries, but every single officer who was on duty that day in Uvalde is a fricking coward and needs to be made a brutal example out of that no cowardly pig will ever forget.

I hate the Uvalde cops way more than I hate anyone who works for Twitter. Like I don’t want them to have another peaceful moment in their lives and for them to commit suicide over what they did that day. With a select few high executives in Twitter being exceptions, I simply want Twitter employees fired. The Uvalde cops I want all of them to suffer across the board. I want those dead kids that they helped murder with their cowardice to be the last thought that runs through their head before God throws them into the pits of hell like they deserve.

I’ll put it this way: Twitter employees just make me angry. The Uvalde cops disgust me. You can put up with things that anger you, but you want to destroy anything that disgusts you.

Where have I supported Russia? I think I’ve been clear I want Ukraine to win, I just don’t see how they’re going to do it in the long term without major escalation, and that is my fear. That is caution not falling for propaganda like this thread largely is.

You havent overtly and thats not what Im talking about.

quote:

By giving Russia what they want every step of the way? If thats winning...

But again, thats not what Im talking about.

Its the domestic political content you consume. Its how you view so many of your fellow countrymen as wanting your destruction (the Twitter stuff). Its how, with every issue, you come in with such strong emotion and stances.

Its why you might ask if TJ Miller is actually the good guy and Ryan Reynolds the a-hole, because Miller kicked it with Ben Shapiro.

Youre coding people as good or bad based on political affiliation. Which is what partisan propaganda is trying to do.

The thing is, it makes people unhappy to wallow in it. More than that, it makes people angry and spiteful. I dont understand why people are ok being so damn unhappy all the time.

There was a PB thread but it was worse than this one due to all the PB shite posting. It died a natural death, people just stopped posting in it. This one is on the same trajectory, just at a much slower pace.

Probably where this thread needs to be.

ETA: Look at the shite posting that occurs in any current PB thread about Ukraine for examples of what the PB thread looked like when it was alive.
