IF you're right let's stop half a**ing it and go full out.
Why? we are accomplishing exactly what we want in a proxy fashion.
Russia is bleeding to death. Nobody is buying your "stop the suffering" bullshite. You are upset because Putin is getting his arse kicked.

simply don't agree with you that Putin is that stupid.
If Putin actually does have the medical issues that we have heard about I don't think he cares of the repercussions. He cares about his and Russia's legacy and losing to Ukraine would end it so a nuke may be worth it to him.

And ultimately, I can't guarantee that won't happen. You very well might be right. But my position is predicated on the beliefs I've laid out. We are all working with imperfect information. I just think it's important that we don't accuse people of inconsistency because we've imposed our assumptions on them.

You have to follow the logic to it’s obvious conclusion.
If nuclear powers can act with impunity against the backdrop of “if you stop us, we will nuke you”, then nuclear war is inevitable .
If not now, then later. Best to rip that bandaid off now against a vastly inferior opponent that’s already bled dry and the entire world is against except regimes that are already pariahs.

Well there are food shortages, so I’m right about that, but no it takes for the big freeze for the mass riots to happen. Last I checked it’s November 5th and thus have 25 days left in November. My predictions are still on schedule.
Where are the food shortages? Should I link your predictions in case you forgot?

Not Ukraine/Russia related but the tensions over the Kosovo new ID/license plate law is boiling over again. The Serbs of Kosovo are withdrawing from government institutions in Kosovo.
I thought they agreed to do away with the potential law that was leading to this tension completely?
Also thanks for something anywhere close to war related. It’s one of those days the thread jumps 10 pages and 88% of it is crap.

Just delayed the implementation of it I think. Apparently its going in stages. Until January they are just giving warnings to drivers who refuse to switch, then they're going to start issuing fines, and then I think in April they will start impounding cars.

Maybe I misunderstood then. Well add this to the list of increasing tensions around the globe, but close to the current ongoing war in particular here.

But a legacy actually means the world needs to remain intact. Using a Nuke removes the need of a legacy as the world wouldn't remain intact.

Why are you actively rooting for people to freeze or starve? I don’t understand you at all. I feel sorry for you.

By this logic maybe we should elect a crazy person with a terminal disease because then China and/or Russia would be afraid of being destroyed. Sounds like a plan. Or maybe the kind of mistake that would end up being a catastrophe (like Russia losing power and influence from Kazakhstan to Turkey).
Putin wants to rebuild the Soviet empire. He wants to subjugate countries ranging from Eastern Europe to the Middle East and Asia to enhance the power and security of Russia at the expense of a lot of others. These countries have collective populations vastly larger than Russia.
The Neville Chamberlain approach just will not work. Not even if we and the EU tried to bully the Ukrainians into giving up the land, people, and resources that Putin has attempted to steal.

Some more Russian media.
This guy says they have to concentrate on sending 18yos to the front lines because they won't have to pay pensions to a wife and family and the older Russians are too broken down by constant alcohol consumption.
Russians sho are cynical.

Just for reference, Yekaterinburg is the 4th largest city in Russia.
