I don't think Ukraine has enough of these to lose one.

Possibly empty, but clearly not a decoy. A 5N63 radar on a 40V6M mast can be seen nearby - that's a valuable asset indicating a real position.

Yep, seems like a totally real S-300 launch position because there was A LOT of launchers deployed, just on this video can be seen four of them

You do realize what the REAL red, white and blue would do to your version of it, right? And I’m not talking about nukes you can throw the nukes out of the equation. Nuke threats is what Russians do by default because that is their only card they can play. Military against military no nukes on either side and the Russian military doesn’t exist in a very short amount of time if they ever truly pissed the United States off. Russia is like the boy who cried wolf too many times. The nuke threats have become completely boring at this point.

But they have nukes.

please point out the inaccuracy of that statement

It is an interesting problem for Ukraine and the west. All accounts are these little drones are worth about $20k. Calls into question the cost of air defense in trying to take swarms of these out.

It's a war who gives a shite about who the "good guys" are. Here is the truth - we are all sinners in the hands of an angry god and in a war the only "good guy" is the side that wins.
It’s fine to take the Thrasymachus position from the Republic if you’re prepared to be a moral relativist/nihilist, but you’ve already told us you oppose the GAE (before you edited your more candid remarks). It’s hard to live the nihilism you’re pretending to here.

And so do we. And as Trump said, ours are better. Putin likes his life he isn’t ready to die yet I promise you. Russians have been threatening to nuke people from the day they were able to build the bomb. It’s standard Russian doctrine to threaten to nuke people when they aren’t getting their way.

So American cultural power is dressing like a slob and listening to the worst music in the history of civilization.
It extends far further. English is the lingua franca, there are several forms of media from video games to films where the American aesthetic is mainstream to the point you don't specifically think that it is American at all. Just because something doesn't suit your particular taste doesn't mean that it's not true, you know?

There is no third equilibrator. The nuclear equation is not trilateral.
My god. The equilibrium states that if any two nuclear powers use the weapon on each other, i.e. Party A on Party B or vice-versa. That doesn't describe this situation, because the use would be on a battlefield that is neither the home of Party A or B.

Drone swarms (On the ground and in the air) will rule the battlefields of the future.

So what you’re saying is that we should just go ahead and destroy the Russian military now?

i am not surprised that is your takeaway from that

I have said before the largest ROI for the US and NATO is being able to dissect the Russian strategy/tactics and materials used in this conflict and adopted by many would be belligerents. This conflict is becoming the laboratory and crucible for the coming drone wars. The information we are gleaning regarding their implementation and the impetus for countermeasures will be invaluable for the US military going forward. The Ukraine-Russia war will likely revolutionize drone warfare similar to what the '73 Yom Kippur war did for tank warfare.
This is a potential inflection point in the way war both symmetric and asymmetric is waged. Pay close attention.

Non-zero chance we go back to the age of flak cannons for situations we can’t just blow up the command link.
Posted on 10/18/22 at 7:40 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
Not at all. Just stating a fact. In a Russia vs USA conflict Russia would be wiped out in amazingly short order. No nukes needed. The United States Air Force would rain down hell on them.
