Hey bud. Just checking in. Here’s some more of your commie buddies playing catch.

One dude seemed to have found god in his trying time. Maybe you should send him your love and support.

You should tell your commie friends to pick up their trash… what’s Russian for “leave no trace but your footsteps”?

Seeing a report that Ukraine SBU head of cybersecurity was killed in recent Russian missile strike on SBU headquarters in Kiev. Again, no idea if true.

This is actually half true he was killed and the missile may have been aimed at the SBU headquarters but missed and hit the street where Yurii Zaskoka happen to be on his daily commute.

The American Revolution was just a French-organized coup against the legitimate British government.

And the French Revolution was just a Orleanist plot to overthrow the Bourbon dynasty.

Yes, that very believable story is what Ukraine is saying because they understandably don't want to admit that SBU headquarters was hit by a Russian missile.

ISW Update

Russian forces conducted massive missile strikes across Ukraine for the second day in a row on October 11

Army General Sergey Surovikin’s previous experience as commander of Russian Armed Forces in Syria likely does not explain the massive wave of missile strikes across Ukraine over the past few days, nor does it signal a change in the trajectory of Russian capabilities or strategy in Ukraine.

quote:

Surovikin’s appointment will not lead to further “Syrianization” of Russian operations in Ukraine because the battlespace in Ukraine is fundamentally different from the battlespace in Syria, and direct comparisons to Surovikin’s Syrian “playbook” obfuscate the fact that Russia faces very different challenges in Ukraine.

Russian military officials may instead have coordinated Surovikin’s appointment and the October 10 cruise missile strikes on Ukrainian critical infrastructure to rehabilitate the perception of the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD)

The Russian Federation is likely extracting ammunition and other materiel from Belarusian storage bases—activity that is incompatible with setting conditions for a large-scale Russian or Belarusian ground attack against Ukraine from Belarus

Key Takeaways

Russian forces conducted massive missile strikes across Ukraine for the second day in a row.

Army General Sergey Surovikin’s previous experience as commander of Russian Armed Forces in Syria is likely unrelated to the massive wave of missile strikes across Ukraine over the past few days, nor does it signal a change in the trajectory of Russian capabilities or strategy in Ukraine.

The Russian Federation is likely extracting ammunition and other materiel from Belarusian storage bases, which is incompatible with the notion that Russian forces are setting conditions for a ground attack against Ukraine from Belarus.

Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces continued to conduct counteroffensives east of the Oskil River and in the direction of Kreminna-Svatove.

Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian troops continued ground attacks in northern and western Kherson Oblast.

Ukrainian forces are continuing an interdiction campaign to target Russian military, technical, and logistics assets and concentration areas in Kherson Oblast.

Russian forces continued to conduct ground assaults in Donetsk Oblast.

Russian reporting of explosions in Dzhankoy, Crimea, indicated panic over losing further logistics capabilities in Crimea following the Kerch Strait Bridge explosion.

Russian federal subjects are announcing new extensions and phases of mobilization in select regions, which may indicate that they have not met their mobilization quotas.

Russian and occupation administration officials continue to conduct filtration activities in Russian-occupied territories.

Plenty of OSINT videos and stills of the cars that were hit and the building intact but believe what you like.

The Crimean Tatars were exiled from Crimea by Josef Stalin in 1944 and only returned after the USSR collapsed, becoming Ukrainian citizens. Many oppose Russia’s annexation. An estimated 60,000 to 100,000 people have left Crimea for mainland Ukraine since 2014. They are part of an internally displaced population of as many as 1.5 million who’ve left the peninsula or war-torn areas of eastern Ukraine under Russian control.

I do think that ISW is correct that this is about giving ordinary Russians the sense that "Yeah, we're wrecking shite all over Ukraine and kicking their butts." It definitely serves to stabilize domestic political opinion.

But the other factor is that it's soon going to be very hard for Russia to do this. Again, the first IRIS-T system from Germany was delivered today, and there will be three more coming. The US announced today that it is accelerating the delivery of the first two NASMAS systems to Ukraine, and there will be another six of those coming as well.

The combination of the IRIS-T and NASAMS systems, along with the Gepards, various MANPADS, new US anti-drone weapons, and Ukraine's older Buks and S-300s, means that Ukraine will soon have what will be one of the world's finest air defenses.

Very soon, Russia simply won't be able to do what it's done the last few days. Some of the very few Kinzhal missiles that Russia has might get through, but cruise missiles will not. Drones will not. S-300s fired at Mykolaiv will not.

So, it makes sense for Russia to fire what it's got while it can.
