Yeah, just not a lot going on.
I do notice that the 7-day forecast shows no rain in either the south or the east. This should cut down on the mud for a while and allow for good armor maneuverability, and that also allows good visibility for drones and aircraft of both sides.

There has still been a steady stream of new video posted of various close combat, attacks on Armor, arty strikes, and drone attacks. But I don't normally post them as there is no way to be sure if they are old footage or not.
So many of the arty and drone strike videos have no date, so they could be from 3 months ago. Also both sides splice the crap out of the videos which makes them worthless as you can't even tell if it's the same target.

I'm surprised that Ukraine hasn't pushed much in the last week, they certainly had the initiative on the battlefield and the momentum on their side. The longer they wait to strike again, the more prepared Russia will be and the more it will cost in casualties.

There was another prisoner exchange today

??Another prisoner exchange happened today. According to the head of Presidential Office, 32 Ukrainian soldiers returned home, and also the body of Israeli citizen, who was living in Ukraine and joined the Army when Russia re-invaded back in February.

Supposedly from today, some infantry combat footage, no gore, and annoying music.

I’d say let the people be heard in an honest and fair election
But that’s not going to happen. We both know it.

New. Zelensky says Kremlin has ordered 2400 more Iranian drones. Russia has been burning 20-30 of them every day. They are primitive. Ukrainian air defence can shoot most of them down. But they can overwhelm systems and get thru. At minimum they use up valuable defensive weapons.

mmcgrath, do yourself a favor. Work first on your own contentions and concepts rather than trying to seek out arguments vs others. The former is challenging enough.

There was no call in any of those areas to become Russian pre invasion. Once again, you seem to just use Kremlin based talking points and that of clueless talking heads. Just like you have no understanding of oil/gas production and how major companies sell off old wells/fields when the oil isn't flowing to their standards. It is sort of like KBR not being interested in remodeling a bathroom even at a high profit margin, they normally love 10% profit margins while a small contractor cannot live on 10% profit. Wells can produce for decades at just a few barrels a day. Once production is stopped, these sand up in a short period of time then require capital to get them flowing again.
FTR, my wife inherited an interest in an oil lease in Mississippi, she sold it to the operator not wanting to fool with 50 cents a month royalty payments. There were a gazillion of these wells pre Covid. There have been attempts at new technology to increase flow rate which by itself would have made the US net oil independent well over a decade ago. To increase production from around 2 million BPD to 7+ million would have been huge.

You are an artful dodger. Can a fair election be held by in a conquered area with the conquerors present? A fair election would be an election held free of an armed conquerer?
And I agree, Russia would have won an election if it were held before an invasion. But that would have been fair and free.
As for Russias walking in you left out the part about masked soldiers and bribed admirals. But no, Russia didn’t meet much resistance. Just some after affects from a lot of the international community.

Now why did Yanukovych "vacate office"?
Was he sick? Did he just lose interest? or did he flee for his life?

Other news today was the announcement that the additional 4 HIMARS that we promised Ukraine last week have arrived in the country.
Also announced today: the first German IRIS-T SL system has arrived in Ukraine. This is a cutting-edge, short-range air defense system that's really designed to protect a specific area. Germany has promised a total four of these to Ukraine, and they are manufacturing them as fast as they can.
So, this one might possibly get delivered to Kyiv, to protect the city from the kind of attacks it had yesterday. The way I understand it, the IRIS system is really better oriented to protecting cities than it is to protecting troops on the battlefield.

We fly out in the AM, can't wait! :) I'll probably post some over the next week. Once the grands go to bed, we usually just sit around and surf and talk.

It was a popular uprising against an extremely unpopular puppet government that was working for the interest of Russia and not is own people. It wasn’t some CIA inspired coup that took place in the middle of the night. Did we encourage it, sure and we should have.

Now then, don't you feel silly for being silly under the auspices of seriousness?

I register your attempt at some credible recovery based on your wife's petty industry exposure. I'd be empathetic had you actually had a remote frigging clue as to WTF you were posting. You didn't. I'm not.
It's good she sold her interest.

Either you don't know what a "puppet government" is, or your information comes from really bad sources.
