There was an article from a few weeks ago about China taking a step back to incorporate lessons learned from the Ukraine war into their own military planning.
Bc they use the same doctrine as Russia
Still won’t change anything bc like Russia nothing on the battlefield happens with out generals saying so
Western doctrine let’s junior officers and ncos make real time decisions

New update from Rybar on Lyman

?????????? The situation in the Liman direction
as of 20.00 September 30, 2022
After the withdrawal from Drobyshevo and Yampol, the defense of the RF Armed Forces was built along the outskirts of Liman and the buffer zone around the Liman-Zarechnoye-Torskoye road. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to completely block the corridor, but the Russian troops have so far successfully repulsed the strikes.
According to preliminary estimates, at least 6,000 Ukrainian servicemen and foreign mercenaries are involved in the attack on Liman. Armored groups are trying to advance from Drobyshevo, Stavkov, Dibrovo and Yampol to Liman itself.
From the side of the Torsk Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, reinforcements were transferred, including artillery, MLRS and armored vehicles. Near Yampol and to the north of the Liman there are oncoming maneuver battles.
To the north of Zarechny, the Ukrainian military, with the support of armored vehicles, tried to enter Terny along the dam across the Zherebets River, but were driven out from there by the approaching units of the RF Armed Forces and withdrew to the western bank in Ivanovka.
In order to strengthen the onslaught, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hastily transfer units from near Seversk and Soledar, reserves from Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. They have to partly expose the Soledar direction, where units of the Wagner PMC, NM LPR and DPR are advancing.
The situation remains extremely tense, but for now the RF Armed Forces still control Liman and hold back the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If the allied forces manage to hold back the onslaught, defend the city and inflict heavy losses on the attacking Ukrainian forces, then the Russian troops will actually seize the initiative. In this case, the situation at the front can change dramatically.

Dude, listen.
These people who constantly parrot talking points that originated in Russia and who refuse to criticize Russia/Putin without a "yeah but" response, and who seem to only want to reference negative behavior by the US, and who selectively choose timelines to shield Russia from criticism...they're TOTALLY not defending Russia/Putin.

Iodine tablets are used to sterilize water for drinking... Potassium Iodide is for radiation protection
The Russians have never had them before. Also the Russians might be distributing anything with iodine in it to give their troops the feeling that they are being protected. It’s also possible that it’s part of a bluff to scare the Ukrainians to the negotiating table. It’s also possible that my sauce(s) don’t know the difference and is reading too much into it.

Here's an alternative poll, Upvote if you think Errerrerrwere's IQ is below 80, and downvote if you think his IQ is below 80.

Xi was critical of Putin after the last meeting.
Let me rephrase - Xi isn’t necessarily sending military support to Putin anytime soon.
But if China’s goal is to take Taiwan, which chain of events creates better conditions for that to happen?
If the rest of the world is suffering, or is pre-occupied with Russia, then China operates without as much pushback.
I don’t see how a swift resolution/defeat/retreat of Russia in Ukraine would be better for China’s ambitions.
Largely agree, particularly as we’ve seen the European weakness to help one of their own and depleted American stockpiles in carrying the load. I also wonder how much they’ve put off sending equipment to Russia for the same reason we were slow to send to Ukraine in the beginning, expectation poor performance this leaving behind for your larger enemy.
I do believe this has cause delays in Chinas plans for Taiwan, but agree the longer this goes and the more resources are sent to Ukraine, the better Chinas outlook on their goals in Taiwan become. Plus, as long as this goes on they get discounted energy from Russia while the world still needs their cheap goods and labor.

Whether much less when they are admitted remains to be seen. I suspect not a whole lot longer, but both Turkey and Hungary are playing every opportunity to leverage this, both with NATO and with the EU. Stay tuned on that.quote:Look at Sweden and Finland’s application process. If there is political will it can be done quickly.
Exactly how expedient can this "speedy application" to join NATO be?

Where do you vote if you are sending your surrogate via tax dollars to help Ukraine kick some Russian butt?
