Assuming Alexander Dugin was the target here and some Ukrainian special operations team carried this out this really seems like a small fish to target so deep inside of Russian territory. Risk of exposure would be very high.

I doubt this was the Ukrainians for the reason you mentioned. If you are that far in get a big fish.

As mentioned we may now have open warfare between factions of elites. Which is worse than any bad battlefield news for Vlad. He can go get more fodder but if his base violently cracks he is probably done.

If you can’t see the positives for supporting Ukraine, then I can’t explain it to you.

Logical arguments seem to be beyond his comprehension. He's like a goldfish who loses object permanence every three seconds, or a cornerback who gets burned often but whose coach taught him to forget the last play quickly, which said cornerback takes too literally and gets burned again. What's odd is the only thing he remembers is when I insult him, which is hilarious. None of my longer posts, which are dry and devoid of style, seem to make a lasting impression.

"Kyiv will shudder": Russian propagandists demand strikes on decision-making centres
Sunday, 21 August 2022, 11:07

Russian propagandists are demanding strikes on decision-making centres in Kyiv.

Source: Margarita Simonyan, the main propagandist of the Russian Federation, on the pro-Kremlin television station Tsargrad, on Telegram

Details: The propaganda outlet issued a report after the daughter of "Putin's ideologue" Alexander Dugin was killed in a car explosion.

It hints that Ukraine is allegedly guilty of the murder of [Dugin's daughter, herself - ed.] a propagandist, and Simonyan is demanding strikes on decision-making centres in Kyiv.

Quote from Simonyan: "Decision-making centres! Decision-making centres!! Decision-making centres!"

It also seems an incredibly personal target. The daughter of an old, weird Russian fascist is so specific that she must have been chosen for the purpose of inflicting the maximum amount of emotional pain upon Dugin. That screams friend or ally of a now-dead oligarch. No one seemed to care that some oligarchs, like Vasily Melnikov, were killed by stabbing, along with his wife and his two sons, who were aged 10 and 4. Given Putin's track record, it could even be him, as like you said the level of sophistication was extremely high, and who better to know how devastating this might be upon Dugin than Putin himself. I don't know what purpose that would serve for Putin though. But regardless, someone highly connected to the Russian security state can't be ruled out, given the various discontents that this has caused within the Russian elite.

Which is done through negotiations. The current plan has given up on any real talk, and let attrition take its toll. That will not end well for anyone. 10,000 bodies later we will still be having this same conversation. Ukraine has said they will engage in talks only after they have the military capability to repel the Russians. Its going to be a while.

1. Did you ever stop and thinking that is just pre-negotiation bluster from Ukraine?

2. Ukraine has realized that it’s pointless to negotiate with Russia until it has proven to Russia that it has the ability to f**k Russia up if it doesn’t negotiate in good faith. You can thank Putin for that. Russia attacked Odessa with cruise missiles less than 24 hours after negotiating the grain deal. The only thing that made Russia stop attacking Odessa and honor the grain deal was Turkey threatened to use its fleet to enforce the deal and said it would invoke Article 5 if Russia attacked a Turkish warship.

Well nothing seems to convince you, even your own words. You laid out the argument yourself for why there won't be peace, but you won't acknowledge that for some reason. Instead, you'll lean on the idea that the West is driving this single-handedly, which is a nonsensical position.

Well, when a dude says "they'll negotiate when they have the military hardware to push Russia out" it tells me there's way more to the story than whats on the surface, and that the aid is more important than peace.

Putin is a shitty war lord wannabe, Zelensky is a world class grifter.

I think both are shitty governments. It’s like asking me to support a giant turd over liquid diarrhea.

It’s clear Ukraine is a puppet state of corrupt America and it’s clear Russia doesn’t like that it’s on their boarder.

I don’t support governments or war. I support the innocent people caught in the middle. The people caught in war games for corrupt politicians.
