Interesting to see if it was a missile(s) or up close work. That would be a long missile/rocket shot.
But it sure feels like some of these military targets in Crimea are not well guarded on the ground.

The comments suggest that video may be old.

Could be those long tab types those guys just cant sit still.
The big thing their Spetsnaz would have going for them working in Crimea is their ability to blend with the local populace. It still seems incredible to me that they could infiltrate these sites during wartime. Red Cell did walk onto a nuclear sub in the daytime but it was in peacetime and in California.

That is the Melitopol hot from a week or so ago. I never saw confirmation of the video I posted earlier today but the weather matched today. I need to go back and look and see if there is any more confirmation.

Not believable for us I agree. But you have seen their guys at the front and they stink so what exactly gets left in the rear with the gear? probably not much.
And security functions are NCO driven right, so I fully expect their security to be fricked up.

I read the transcripts on an intercept 3-4 weeks ago where the guy spoke about anyone guarding an ammo dump/ammo train was being punished, had pissed off some high ranking FSB/GRU commander…it points to a complete inability to defend high value assets.

hope both Russia and Ukraine lose
Well you're getting your wish. The combined countries are losing hundreds of men, plus countless vehicles and equipment every day. Entire cities are being destroyed. Infrastructure that will take decades to replace. Billions in lost productivity. Etc.
If Russia hadn't started nothing, wouldn't be nothing. But I guess you're happy with the current state of affairs.

Russian statements are the comic relief of this horrible situation. Per the latest Perun video even the most adamant supporters of Russia think the lies are not helping anything and wish they would stop. I'd hate to see that happen.

The Russian army has proven one thing above all else during this conflict and that is that they are without question the most undisciplined military on the planet.

The statements flowing from the Russians are really starting to take on a North Korean vibe.

It’s gonna take a whole of fun out of this war if Russia starts telling the truth.
But, it could send all their adversaries into a confused state of disarray.

There were some chemical weapons that were found, but it was not made public. I have no idea what condition those weapons were in and if they could be used as chemical weapons or why it was kept secret. However, soldiers were hurt when they were attempting to dispose of them. ISIS also used Saddam’s former chemical weapons factories in Mosul. The head of ISIS’s chemical weapons program was a former brigadier general in Saddam’s army
Anyone who spent time at Taji remembers the big field of spent canisters on the other side of the highway from the base. If I remember correctly, those were for 122mm mustard gas shells. God, what a shithole.
Definitely doesn’t justify the invasion in my view but it is false to say there were no chemical weapons. They were, however, severely degraded and rather shitty, much like Assad’s.

The pro-Russia Politards like to go on about "it's propaganda from both sides" and there is some truth to that. But at least a lot of what Ukraine says is backed up by video and satellite images (and some is nonsense). But Russia is reach absurd levels of stupid lying. What I go by is the maps and visual evidence, and a smidgeon of credibility to Ukraine, and the expectation that Russian claims are laughable.

The funniest shite I have seen recently was them blatantly cheating in a live stream of the Army Games that are going on now. It was in one of the heats of the tank biathlon. The crew had an issue at one of the firing lines and sat there for over 8 minutes and had to replace their tank because the one they were in...broke. The other teams that had issues just had a high time, the tank part of the games is in Russia, toward the end of the run the judges awarded Russia back 8 minutes of "administrative time" for a "technical delay" and they beat China by 2 minutes. The Russians can even play Army well but it is hard to cheat on the battlefield.
I did learn if you are going into a tank battle you want Venezuala on the other side. They missed 4 targets from a full stopped position with their main guns at about 1,000m, these are targets an Abrams could hit at full trot bouncing like all hell.
The only thing impressive about the Soviet T72B3s they were using is they were FAST. I saw speeds of up to 85kph (~53mph) one blew past a Chinese tank like it was dragging an anchor.

There are multiple Ukrainian spetnaz teams operating in Crimea right now. Also the Thunder2 missile has a range of 500 km.

Have you seen the video from inside the Zaporizhzhia NPP where Russia is literally parking military vehicles INSIDE the plant in the generator room?
