[BBC News] Russia's 'dirty bomb' speculation is fake - Ukraine
quote:
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has hit back at allegations that his government intends to detonate a dirty bomb on Russian territory.
Dirty bombs are devices that combine conventional explosives with radioactive material and are designed to kill thousands of people instantly.
Russian state TV has also been discussing the prospect in recent days and at Friday night's UN Security Council meeting Russia's ambassador Vasily Nebenzya told delegates: "We do not want Ukraine to develop a 'dirty bomb'."
In a tweet, Kuleba ridiculed the suggestion, saying: "Russian propaganda has gone off the rails."

How will cutting off dollars from flowing into Russia and rubles from getting out of Russia tank the dollar?
Putting aside our economic decline, the dollar is useful because it’s seen as reliable.
If we cut people out of the dollar economy, for political reasons, the dollar becomes unreliable.
Countries will have to consider the potential for being black listed, if they disagree with us.
In the specific case of Russia and China. They have the ability to create alternatives to SWIFT, and China is specifically economically powerful enough to displace the dollar.
This could be the domino moment for some countries, where the cost of changing over, is lower than the risk of sticking with the dollar.

I think France is even reducing their amount of nuclear power, which seems ridiculous. Maybe they will rethink that idea after all of this.
They are upgrading and expanding it. They’re building smaller reactors to expand their own capacity and for export to other nations to help them move to nuclear power. France pleaded with the EU, particularly Germany, to recognize nuclear as a preferred low/no carbon energy source.

So, all that fighting we witnessed last night was just....our imaginations?

The currency China won't even let have a floating exchange rate?

They were using those images in that tweet to show people what to look for to identify the rockets that may have been used now.
Which is why they attached it to that tweet with a clear date. It is instructional material.
ETA: and it was retweeted by Rob Lee

Most of the fighting in Kiev last night was between Ukrainian forces and pre-positioned Russian saboteurs. The main Russian column has yet to make it to the city.

Russian Vodka is getting pulled across US liquor stores.
Isn't that already bought and paid for? Maybe worry more about future orders?

Are those actual Russian military?
They’re in terrible combat shape. Our national guard weekend warriors look better than that

Send the Vodka for the molovs and send Jack Daniels for drinking. From what I've seen the Ukranians love them some Jack.
