I still agree with the earlier post that bringing in the NKoreans is a huge escalation away from a regional war. It would be the same if Belarus sent in troops. I have no idea how the "free" Eastern European countries will react to this. What is does show is desperation on the Russian side. But, they are going to win at all costs.

Apparently nobody wants to be anywhere near an ammo dump or train station on the RU side

9000 miles is a lot of territory for the Ukrainians to sabotage the trains.

Are you playing a video game? That’s not how it works. What weapon system will the Ukrainians be using to strike the trains, say, 5000 miles away? 2000? 1000? Hell, how about 500 miles?

Ukrainian special forces with C4 or a cutting torch.

Ukrainians are native Russian speakers and you don’t have to have papers to travel in Russia anymore. The hardest part would be getting the Ukrainians across the border. Then it’s just a matter of renting a car and then not giving the Russian police a reason to stop them. It can be done because the Ukrainians just sabotaged a train inside Russia last weekend. They didn’t it in an area of Russia that the Russians were actively protecting too.

Uh, OK. But I don't think it'll be that easy. You must think the Russians are very stupid.

Russia can barely supply food and arms to their guys out 100 miles. I don't understand how the logistics with something like this would work.

If Russia is so bad then why do we need to give Ukraine 1 billion dollars a month? Why hasn’t Ukraine stormed the gates of Moscow yet with its superior army? But but Russia withdrew from their half assed Kiev offensive though!

Well they did telegraph their invasion. They are still using unsecured communications almost 6 months into the invasion, and they announced that they were accepting help from NK before the NKs were in place. There are literally only 2 double track railroads and two highways connecting NK and European Russia. Blow up or damage a bridge or two and those railroads will back up like crazy.

Show your work that we have sent ~$60 billion to Ukraine in the last six months.

Ukraine is getting it's a** handed to them right now. It's only going to get worse. Thankfully Russia has had some damage along with Ukraine.

I don't think it gets worse. Central banks around the world are raising interest rates to control inflation. The oil markets are pricing in anticipated falling energy demand and the price of oil has fallen to below where it was at the beginning of the war. Oil and gas revenues make up about a third of the Russian budget. The price is likely to fall further and the closer it gets to the mid 2021 lows of in the $60's/bbl the more we'll see the Russians in a crouch in Ukraine and dealing with holding the regime together.

I have no idea why nitrogen and/or oxygen would be used at a nuke plant.

I don't really know but can take a guess based on the quote that follows. They may be producing nitrogen in order to act as an inert blanket for hydrogen that is a by-product of the nuclear reaction. And without that nitrogen blanket there is a danger of a hydrogen fire or explosion.

quote:

There risks of hydrogen leakage and emission of radioactive substances persist, the fire hazard is also high.
