I wonder how many Chinese spies had to spread their legs for that deal to go through?

Oh Russia you have done it again.

Russia just can’t live without such things every single year.
Today is their navy day.
So a media outlet in Bashkiria released a greeting pic featuring the Moskva cruiser, which was sunk by Ukraine in April.
Another poster was issued in Tumen featuring… USS George H.W. Bush.

If that was not bad enough. They try to cover it up with a false flag attack.

A small explosive device carried by a makeshift drone blew up Sunday at the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet on the Crimean Peninsula, wounding six people and prompting the cancellation of ceremonies there honoring Russia’s navy, authorities said.

I do think it’s more likely China has at minimum better performing tech than Russia and more likely to have more advanced tech than Russia given their long term habit of IP espionage on us. What that ends up meaning in the grand scheme of things I have no idea. I’m afraid we’re going to find out at the right time for China and while we’re in a bad position. Thinking debt, economy, admin, more time for military personnel erosion were currently seeing.

The only Russian aircraft carrier which is perpetually going into drydock for extensive repairs?

They really should just scrap it and order a new one from China or India.

Also here is a leaked picture of President Putin preparing to visit the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet.

Additional updates on Serbia/Kosovo:

Is Serbia really this close to Russia?:

Neither Serbia nor Kosovo are NATO members, but obviously NATO has interest in the region - see Ukraine. NATO may be divided on this vs Ukraine though:

I assume Hungary may not want to intervene here either. Would be interested in thoughts on how others in the region potentially see a conflict here.

None. They just had to write a check while sleeping in the White House. Miraculously, Slick's very own DOJ found no evidence of "pay for play".

Russia has never followed the Geneva Convention why start now? They are an entire country based on lies. They are very good at lying, the best actually because they get the most practice at it. Look at Chernobyl when it blew. All of Europe was seriously 36 hours from being a wasteland and they were acting like it was all contained and under control. The Kursk sinking. They could have saved their own men if they had let Britain come help with the equipment they needed but waited until they were all dead. The Russian backed separatists that shot down the Malaysian Airlines flight. It’s par for the course with them. Putin has painted himself in a corner here where has no good options. He either looks weak and retreats or stays and wrecks his economy more as well as keep sending trainloads of dead boys back to Russia.

That toilet paper roll behind Putin is not something I want to think about too much.

You don't accept the Geneva Conventions? Well at least you are honest about being a horrible human being.
Its a debatable subject. I reject it as silliness. I respect you serving it up and how its framed. Its dishonest. If you want a discussion, alright. I'd just like the US out of EVERY, EVERY conflict.

Neither Russia or China recognize Kosovo as an independent nation.

Unfortunately, I don't think Kosovo is going to have international support here like Ukraine does so we could be looking at another genocide in Europe the world ignores for 5+ years.

Those former Yugoslavian countries sure don't like each other. I guess they never have.

That won't work as much as you think it will. It never has. I am not saying we have to be belligerent in every area, but the more isolationist US becomes, other powerful countries will step in and become the influencer. And here's the big thing for me, we are all on this planet together, and assuming you can just be really good at defending your country but not caring about what is going on in the rest of the world will not stop you from being devastated by environmental disasters initiated in other countries. We are all going to regret ignoring what is going on in the Amazon sooner than later.

If we choose to do that we cede the chair at the head of the table. That vacuum will be filled. The question is are you prepared to live with the one who fills it?

Which country do you see entering that roll?

which is a great stance to have. until you remember that countries like russia exist, that they breed conflict, and that someone needs to exist to uphold some sort of order

if you want the chinese to do that then be my guest. but i think most people in the world prefer the US led world order that has existed for the last 80 years and want it to continue
