The SU-25 has performed well.

Have they been fielding the SU34 or any of their other new stuff? 30's/35's etc?
I've always assumed they didn't actually have the logistical backing to field any of their post-soviet Era stuff

The Turks already are on board as it means billions to them bro. Already on board. Money talks bullshite walks. The do hate the Kurds but they like money more. The lack of oil sharing agreement in Iraqi is the only obstacle. Trucks have been moving this oil through Turkey for over 5 years

Seems like the A-10 with a couple of crazy pilots and those crazy bullets could take down the Crimea bridge. They could come in flying super low like crop dusters. Not sure if any of you folk been around some crazy crop dusters but those dudes will do touch and gos on the highways sometimes flying under power lines.

I called the number on the poster. On the other hand, they didn’t even listen, they say “yes, you already fricked up” and stopped the conversation

Just like the HIMARS rockets, the 30mm rounds are incorrect munitions for the mission. If there was a reason to use the A-10s to take out a bridge such as exploring a low and slow exploit of the air defense system in an AO then they have perfectly acceptable munitions for bridge demo. I don't know the A-10 loadout capabilities but a couple of Warthogs with just a couple of trusty old Mk84s each would make short work of the Crimean Bridge. The Crimean bridge is the same but also different from the bridge they hit in the Kherson region. The majority of the Crimean bridge looks to be of similar concrete span construction but with truss arch spans to allow for ship travel, it is also a twin span so requires you to destroy both spans if you want to stop rail and vehicle traffic. If you were concerned about being able to restore traffic quickly hitting each of the Crimean bridge spans over land would be the smartest. If you don't care how long it takes to reestablish service then you would target the truss arch spans which would take much more time and effort to rebuild and not be any harder to destroy, at least from the air.
I will say the HIMARS attacks will work on either bridge it will just take a larger salvo than the 12 they supposedly fired at the one over the Dnieper.
One other interesting note the two arch spans on the Crimean bridge have a different construction. One looks like a Nielsen arch and the other looks like either a Langer or Lhose arch. The heavier Neisen arch is used for rail and the lighter stayed arch is used for vehicular traffic. I can't help but think it had to irritate someones OCD in the design process.
I will note this bridge has likely significant air defense systems guarding it. The US could make quick work of it, the Ukranian's don't have near the capabilities and if the Uke's get A-10s they would be stupid to risk them trying to take it down.

Yeah, we need to give the Ukrainians ATACMS to take out the Kerch Bridge.
But I've seen some speculation that the bridge might be off-limits with our weapons since it's directly attached to Russia. That's still not an issue, as the railway immediately goes into a big tunnel, so the Ukrainians could just hit the tunnel to completely foul Russian logistics.
In fact, the tunnel might be an easier target than the bridge, anyway.
But the Biden administration continues to worry too much about "provoking" Russia, as if Russia could actually do anything to us without absolutely destroying their country in the process.

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 22 July 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
In the Donbas, Ukrainian forces continue to repel Russian attempts to assault the Vuhlehirsk power plant. Russian artillery remains focused on areas around the cities of Kramatorsk and Siversk.
On 21 July 2022, Vitaly Kim, governor of Ukraine's Mykolaiv region, said that Russian forces had used seven air defence missiles to strike infrastructure, energy facilities and storage areas.
Russia has increased its use of air defence missiles in a secondary ground attack mode because of critical shortages of dedicated ground-attack missiles. Russian has almost certainly deployed S-300 and S-400 strategic air defence systems, designed to shoot down aircraft and missiles at long ranges, near Ukraine from the start of invasion.
These weapons have relatively small warheads, designed to destroy aircraft. They could pose a significant threat against troops in the open and light buildings but are unlikely to penetrate hardened structures. There is a high chance of these weapons missing their intended targets and causing civilian casualties because the missiles they are not optimised for this role, and their crews will have little training for such missions.

I love Russian phone manners. They pick up a ringing phone and it’s not “good morning” or “hello,” or “how can I help you.” Rather, like some secret society it’s “ya slushio” (literally, “I’m listening”) Maybe it’s just a cultural thing but to me that always said a lot about how defensive Russians have always had to be. I guess now they also have to ensure they don’t do anything that would put them in a surprise tank battalion.
Edited to add close phonetic because TD apparently doesn’t display cryllic.

The bridge is not connected to Russia. it connects Crimea to Tuzla island which was Ukrainian until 2014. The island has been occupied by Russia since that time just like the rest of Crimea.

You need a ton of trucks to haul much oil. Before the Keystone XL southern portion from Cushing to Nederland was completed, there was about a year when a lot of trucks were hauling much, but nowhere near what Kurds produce, due price delta at Cushing and Houston/Port Arthur.
Kurdistan produces more than truckable.
There are two pipelines from Kurdistan to the gulf in Iraq with a large one connected to Hadhitha then to Basra, 800,000 BPD and a smaller one on the other side of the Euphrates. Kurds export almost 600,000 BPD via this.
EDIT, Kurdistan is exporting through a pipeline via Turkey already, no longer through Iraq. Almost 600,000 BPD. This had been the case for a decade.

What’s wrong Ivan? Your own people didn’t even want you in their “volunteer” tank battalion? And they are offering the equivalent of about $4900 dollars to go get an anti tank round dropped on your head. That’s pathetic in so many ways it’s almost sad. Almost. Please do us a favor and figure out a way to sign up so we can see you shake hands with a Javelin. It’s shameful that whoever admins this board even allows a Russian to post a recruitment poster on an American board yet you will get banned for a number of any other petty shite around here.
