You are not as wacko as the most extreme on the poli board.
Congrats, for whatever that means.

Once again, checks out. You might want to pay attention to my posts in this thread.

Russia is willing to do what it takes to achieve its war aims
Pootin’ and his minions have stated repeatedly that Ukraine will be absorbed into the RF. They have also stated that they will use nukes if outside forces intervene in their “special military operation.”
The West has intervened on a major scale. The result is a depleted Russian military. Pootin’ has even had to hold his nose and court Iran for a possible drone supply.
“What it takes to achieve its war aims” must be under constant evaluation in the Kremlin. The West has already called their bluff on the nuclear threat so the old commies must be searching for an out. The quickest out (and the one that would be viewed with respect in the future), of course, would be to assassinate Pootin’.
It would all be over tomorrow if one of them would step up. The length of the war really seems to boil down to how well Pootin’ is insulated from someone who sees the reality of the situation; and how long that insulation can hold up.

Are you referring to me?
I'm still waiting for you to answer the question.
As I said, I haven't paid close attention to it since it was announced Turkey had dropped its objections.
I googled several different ways and could find nothing about Finland or its citizens not wanting to join NATO. So where are you getting your info?

There isn’t a greater collection of tards anywhere else on this site than this thread. I respect your attempts at cordiality, but I would suggest a more direct approach with these idiots

Before Russia's invasion polling was about 30% for NATO the rest against. Almost immediately after the invasion, the polling completely flipped the other way.
I haven't looked at Politico for at least a decade.

Thanks.
I’ve read your posts here and elsewhere.
You lack self awareness as a result of appearing here in a rarified environment where criticism is unlikely.
But social media invites those seeking echo chambers….

Would you be willing to participate in an Autism contest?
The contestants will be you, OMLandshark and Winston and I'll pay for the experts.
I dont think you will win but I do think you will be competitive.

True, but this is a much larger circle jerk of group thought than any babe thread could muster.
Edit - It should be noted the stickied Covid thread was tops for worse around.

Do you actually have any source for this other than making it up? And, repeating someone else's question, what would Finland stand to gain from that?

ISW Update
No idea why this was so important to include in their Update but
quote:
The current Russian offensive may secure limited additional territorial gains in Donbas northeast of the E40 highway but will likely culminate before seizing major populated areas such as Slovyansk or Bakhmut.
quote:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov articulated expanded geographical aims for Russian operations in Ukraine on July 20, confirming ISW’s long-held assessment that Russia has territorial goals beyond Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts
quote:
The Russian Defense Ministry publicly identified Lieutenant General Andrey Sychevoy as the commander of the Western force grouping in Ukraine on July 20.
quote:
The Russians have identified commanders of the southern, central, and eastern groups of forces, corresponding to their respective military districts and oriented on Bakhmut, the Izyum area, and Siversk respectively. They have notably failed to identify any commander of Russian forces operating in occupied southern Ukraine, however.
No idea why this was so important to include in their Update but

Ukrainian troops rescued a cat during clearing operations on Snake Island and evacuated it back to the Ukrainian mainland on July 20.[8] The cat reportedly survived the duration of the Russian occupation of the island.

Key Takeaways
The current Russian offensive will likely make marginal territorial gains northeast of the E40 highway in Donetsk before culminating along the E40.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is pursuing expanded territorial gains in Ukraine beyond Luhansk and Donetsk Oblast, confirming ISW’s assessment that the Kremlin seeks to capture territory beyond Donbas.
Russian forces resumed limited ground attacks northwest of Slovyansk and around the Donetsk City-Avdiivka area.
Russian forces continued localized ground assaults east of Siversk and made marginal gains northeast of Bakhmut.
Ukrainian forces conducted the second consecutive high-precision strike against the Antonivskyi Bridge-- a major Russian logistics artery east of Kherson City.
Russian occupation authorities are likely propagandizing recent Ukrainian high-precision strikes and partisan activity to set conditions for mass deportations of Ukrainian citizens to Russian territory.

HIMARS is good for a lot but it would take several volleys of 6 round rockets to knock that bridge out. Amazing the accuracy of it in those pictures though. A 2,000 lb. JDAM or one 5,000 lb. GBU-28 would make short work of it though. The Russians are just stupid enough to keep using it to transport munitions though which would make a huge backlog at one end as they would have to cross single file.

But the grouping shown will take out the lead vehicle in a column. A stalled column is easy pickings
