Also, if Biden/Fed idiocy ends up causing an economic collapse, the price of oil will plummet. If RU is already selling at a $30/bbl discount, then oil collapsing to $65 would be pretty rough for them.

Pretty rough is an understatement. Oil/gas revenues make up 45% of the Russian government budget. That would be a backbreaker.

The question I have is…why? I hate communist and communism in general but what’s wrong with Russia now? I mean yeah Putin is a dictator but he’s not the only one in the world and he’s not really trying to push outside of Russian normal sphere of influence. If he wants to take over Ukraine why the frick should we care and why do we want the Russian government to collapse other than just to frick with the Russian people?

So since America influences Canada and Mexico we should just invade them and it would be cool with you?

Simple. Anytime you can take out an unhinged dictator you do it. People like Putin, Gaddafi, Saddam, Kim Jong-un, Idi Amin, Mao Zedong, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, etc. All throughout history there have been these tyrants that don’t deserve to breathe air and only want to dominate other people or enrich their own lives no matter the cost. If you can possibly remove any of these type of people you take that opportunity. Putin did this to himself. He invaded. Now he’s facing consequences he never envisioned. He overestimated his own military's capability and it’s leaders for carrying out an operation like this and now his back is against the wall where he either has to press forward with sacrificing many more Russian lives or pull back and admit defeat. Unfortunately a guy like him and his ego won’t stand for that so I expect many more Russian and Ukrainians to die for nothing for than Putin thinking he’s Peter the Great and will restore all the land he thinks belongs to Russia. The Russian people should seriously rise up and assassinate him but they are sheep that believe what their state run propaganda feeds them, especially the older crowd. The younger generation is the one that will have to fight his war and die though so maybe they will come to their senses eventually and refuse to fight for nothing. Tell Putin to go ride a bear shirtless into Ukraine and topple the government by himself since he’s so great in his own mind.

I'll guarantee no country is going to send hundreds of billions in aid to the Canucks.

The USSR controlled Ukraine for 70 years and it didn't affect the USA one iota, and the Soviet Union was 10x the existential threat that Putin's Russia is today. So, tell me again why it is incumbent on the USA to send billions in aid? (and, let's be honest, only a fraction of that "aid" is actually going to the defense of Ukraine)

The "Stand With Ukraine!" types can't have it both ways. You can't gleefully report every time a Russian ammo dump gets blown up or a Russky helo gets zapped and then turn around and somberly assure us that if we don't empty our coffers right here, right now that the Russian steamroller is going to charge through the Fulda Gap and subjugate the entirety of Western Europe. The fact is, Putin's military is so incompetent they are getting wrecked against a third rate power that would have taken our National Guard about 96 hours to eliminate.

It's high time Western Europe looked after themselves. Putin's Russia is not a global threat. Those boobs are barely a regional one.

Gaddafi, Saddam

One part of the world would be less unstable than it is right now, if guys like them were still in power. Idk about Saddam because he was bat shite crazy, but Al Assad and Gaddafi at least had a grip on the people in their countries. As long as they weren’t invading other countries or attacking Israel, we should have never messed with them. Some of those Arab countries are so messed up, that they need to be ran by Muslim dictators. The alternative (right now), seems to be a lot worse.

Why can Ukraine do it in half the time? I gather it's American intelligence and training. Though the response times for Afghanistan surely are due to the inability of the opposition to respond in kind. I hope.

There was an interesting Twitter thread that someone linked a while back on this topic.

Part of it is likely less ROE vetting and bureaucracy. But they apparently have a home-grown distributed software package that quickly and automatically assigns targets to the nearest guns and (according to the Twitter user’s observations) calculates a time-on-target solution.

He goes on to say that they are using the SpaceX Starlink system to achieve end-to-end encrypted satellite communications in conjunction with the distributed fire control system. The end result being that it has allowed Ukrainian artillery pieces to “run & gun” individually rather than firing as batteries.

No idea how/if that system is still being implemented with the newer western artillery they’ve received, but it’s an interesting read nonetheless.

Hitler was a fascist. Putin is not a communist. If Putin was a commie you’d have a point

The Germans of world war 1 were no more evil than any other country on earth at the time. There’s a reason we damn near stayed completely out of that war. And I don’t think Putin has been having unrestricted submarine warfare sinking multiple American cargo ships and cruise liner.

We are waaaaay past asking what’s so bad about Putin and why western nations are supporting Ukraine. That ship has sailed a long time ago.

You need to read my other posting on here. I didn't want any money going nor us being involved but it's too damn late for that so if we're going to do it let's do it right. Russia has expended their selves so we might as well crush them.

The rape of Belgium was British propaganda, London wanted to draw the US into the war.

I don’t think there will be a hammer blow.
Lima is almost the only one who sees the real state of affairs.
But like the prophetic Cassandra that no one wants to hear.
Below is one of the many videos of the Western arms trade. In this video, the buyer's car with Albanian numbers. Let's go to Europe NLAW and Javelin.

Maybe the Ukrainians will start fighting like the Islamic fighters do. It's very European to wave a white flag in distress. In the Islamic countries? Not so much.

At the end of WWII the "forest brothers" seamlessly switched over from fighting the Germans to fighting the Russians. Russia didn't completely wipe them out until the mid fifties.
