Poland should just say frick it and take a piece out of Belarus at this point.

If Belarus joins in on the war it becomes a regional war with multiple players. While Poland will be encouraged to sit it out, mobilization of Belarussian troops is a major escalation and a danger to the NATO eastern flank.

What happens if Russia tries to take Moldova?

Belarus entry plus Russia in Moldova brings serious consideration of Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, maybe Latvia and Estonia as well joining the fray. All bets are off on direction this goes then, imo at least.

Ask yourself, what would the Russians benefit from by invading Moldova?

They’re not in NATO, so I guess we’d do nothing but ship them tons of cash.

Not a serious answer. Why are you here? But I'll follow along with your reasoning. Moldova, Georgia and all the other non NATO countries are expendable because they are small ands defenseless and because of the NATO treaty. It's not been a problem because Russia never pushed the boundaries. But now they are but we have to sit back and wait until they try to push into NATO.

It seems countries near the action like Sweden and Finland perceive the threat.

This is the reason I've suspected all of the military activity within Belarus. To keep Ukrainian forces occupied . Concerned about an attack that may never materialize, but you can never be too cautious.

I think that’s most likely, but agree can never be too cautious. The oddest element to me is their prodding of Poland.

frick NATO.

This is Europe's war. We shouldn't have a thing to do with it, and NATO is worthless following the cold war.

All NATO is, a huge money drain and Defensive welfare for European countries. Europe should foot this bill, not the USA.

Belarus? Poland will only take so much of it.

Likely looking at a regional war because, at a minimum, Romania would be getting involved.

Yes and agree, which is why I find it the odd part. Poland would BTFO them and that’s just assuming alone much less if they had a coalition of friends in the region who are also concerned.

Yeah, a good way of describing what happens if Russia starts their shite in a non-NATO country on the border of NATO. And a small, landlocked country like Moldova would be easy pickings for Russia if no country helped them.

The Ukrainians have lost the veteran core of their army. And while they can replace the bodies, they can’t replace the experience.

New recruits are getting five days of training before being sent out.

One American contractor wrote this week, that only 20% of men in one unit he assisted, had the chance to fire their weapon, in training, before being sent to the front.

We also can’t replace the hardware losses the Ukrainians have sustained. The tanks, ifvs, and artillery, doesn’t exist to send to them.

The Ukrainian army will continue to grow weaker over time

Now replace the word Ukrainian with Russian and its still true...war of attrition in full force
