Morning, my guy in Russia is back again after going offline for 3-4 days something about his VPN of choice being banned or something.
That’s a hell of a report. In many ways it matches some of the early analysis of the possible long term contingent outcomes from this adventure. If it turns as dramatically as this suggests it might, we will all need another bag of popcorn.

Russia's 20% of combat ready forces not yet in the fight would make a difference?

I guess that depends on how large that 20% actually is. They would certainly have a short term impact.

That looks like fresh troops and combat vehicles to me. If this is truly in Severodonetsk, then maybe there is credence to the Ukrainians having sprung a trap on Russia rumblings.
I spoke to my former roommate this morning and his T64 took an RPG round to the threads and engine but he and his crew were able to bail out before it caught fire and exploded. He is currently waiting on a Slovakian T72 to be modernist and then is being redeployed to the Sievierdonetsk front in the next day or so. He said that in addition to the surprise that Ukraine had planned for Russia in Sievierdonetsk, Russia’s rush to capture Sievierdonetsk has presented Ukraine with opportunities in Sievierdonetsk that they can take advantage of. Plus he said just this week Ukraine has been able to deploy over new 15 BTGs from their reinforcements. So yes the rumors of a trap are true. Given how much Russia has deployed to Sievierdonetsk it could be a game changer in the Donbas if Russia suffers major losses.

Interesting how people from all across the world are flying in to help fight for Ukraine yet some of our resident tigerdropping geniuses are rooting for Russia.

Oh please you don’t even have a leg to stand on with that argument. Have you seen all the atrocities the Russians have done to innocent civilians and you want to being up a couple POWs. Do you think if the Russians are that quick to rape, murder and steal innocent civilians that they haven’t done the same shite to POWs? Dumb argument. I bet you’re going to cry a river when Putin kicks the bucket.

It’s possible to think that both are horrendous war crimes at the same time.

Sooooo.... By all means, alleviate their suffering by invading them with a foreign army and forcibly relocating their population (or what's left of it) once you are through shelling their cities also.
It’s the King George line from Hamilton - “I will kill your friends and family to remind you of my love.”
Meanwhile Al Jazeera continues to come through as a quality source of international news coverage. Among their recent updates I found interesting:
“After 100 days, the war in Ukraine has seen a significant drop in interest online, Axios has reported, citing a study conducted by social media monitoring platform NewsWhip.
According to the report, news articles on the Ukraine war have decreased to 70,000 this week from 520,000 articles in the first week of the war.
The figures also showed a 22-fold decrease in social media interactions on news articles published about Ukraine“

Very true, but the empathy for the thugs that invades another country kind of lags a little.
LOL

Silliness. Most of those guys are bunch of conscripts and teenagers. It’s like you’re unaware that we’ve also sent armies to invade countries with little to no provocation. People like you would’ve been sitting right next to Jane Fonda hoping to shoot down American airplanes in Vietnam.

Are you going to cry about too many downvotes again?

No. They keep me warm at night. But it’s very clear that you don’t have an actual response to what I posted so you go completely off topic. It’s fine, I know that you know that you’re a hypocritical little bitch.

Those of us supporting Russia are the types who also eschewed the vaccines.
Yall are the type who still believe what the NYT reports and what Brian Stelter tells you.

I will respond to your erratic post. It makes little sense.
I’d like to think that if I had captured a POW I wouldn’t torture them. There’s hardly an excuse to do that.
And the US had s far better record of not using our military except fir national defense or for our national security. No we aren’t perfect, but we haven’t made a living conquering other nations.
And f Jane Fonda.
