Could just be an aging actress trying to stay relevant. Could be a lot of things.

Why is Dita saying different? Why hasn't Rose McGowen complained about the same thing or confirmed?

I just have a hard time with adults that wait 20 years to make these allegations. At that point, I apologize if I am a bit skeptical.

Maybe I am wrong and there will be actual evidence that comes out but this whole "believe all women" is dangerous and persecuting MM based on his image and stage act is not acceptable.

None of these women are aging actresses.
Neither Dita, or Rose or his current wife are claiming abuse but thats kinda irrelevant. Some people, especially drug addicts and those with mental issues can go through periods of being good to their wives or girlfriends and then turn into total monsters to others. Hell even well adjusted people can be dicks at times and that is part of the problem with cancel culture is that ignores the fact that nobody is perfect. These allegations going beyond having a bad day though.
None of these allegations are 20 years old and its pretty common for men and women that are abused by powerful people in their industry to keep their mouths shut or blame themselves.
On your last point I agree and if it were one or two women claiming abuse from 10-20 years ago I would be more skeptical. 10 and counting eh...maybe there is some fire with that smoke. I dont agree with the knee jerk reaction of the label and distributors to cancel him.

women claiming abuse

"Abuse" seems to be the new favorite buzzword of the #metoo movement. How do you define this? From the descriptions, it's not always something illegal, but it could be sometimes? Is shouting and name calling considered "emotional abuse?" If so, then we are all probably guilty of this. At the same time, this term is also used to describe death threats. It's all so confusing...

Can someone just tell me the line that can't be crossed so that I know whether or not I'm supposed to be outraged?

Thats a fair point too. The article does detail some of the individual accounts. It sounds like most of these women were infatuated and wanted to date a rock star so they put up with his eccentric/abusive/master/sub relationship whatever you want to call it...bullshite until he dumped them or they had enough. Should the allegations cause an immediate canceling of his livelihood.. no I dont agree with that but I also dont think these women should feel bad coming forward with their testimony if its true.

It depends on the allegations. If it's not illegal, for the most part I don't think the public has any right to weigh in on the nuanced intricacies of a tumultuous personal relationship that will inevitably end up in a he said / she said load of bs.

I hate how people’s lives are being ruined years and years later because of what someone said. I’m a woman, and I can’t stand this shite. File charges immediately or GTFO.

Excerpts from Manson's autobiography

quote:

“While I didn’t think it was right to take a human life, I didn’t think it was right to deny myself the chance of causing someone to die either, especially someone whose existence meant so little to the world and to herself,” he wrote.

“At the time, taking someone’s life seemed like a necessary growing and learning experience, like losing your virginity or having a child.”

After roping in a friend to help, Manson wrote about how they “followed her, cased out her house and figured out her routine” before heading to Nancy’s Fort Lauderdale home with “kerosene, matches and rags.”

But as they neared, a homeless man started following them while trying to sell drugs — and they were finally scared off by a series of sirens heading to an emergency nearby, Manson wrote.

“After that night, I became too paranoid to kill Nancy, too scared of getting caught and sent to prison,” he wrote. “I woke up to the fact that I had told too many people of my hatred for her, and even the best plan … wasn’t good enough to protect us from chance events like passing police cars.”

Elsewhere, Manson recalled how he and another friend harassed a “hot brunette” whom they both had a crush on, but “wouldn’t even acknowledge our humanity.”

“I fell back on my usual deviant way of getting a girl’s attention: malicious, asinine behavior,” he wrote, saying that they would make threatening calls “every day for nearly a month.”

“At first, the calls were harmless. But they quickly grew meaner,” he wrote.

“‘We’re watching you,’ we’d threaten her at the height of our spite-masked lust. ‘You better not leave work tonight, because we’re going to rape you in the parking lot and then crush you underneath your own car,'” he wrote.

That's his actual admission of some of the stuff he's done. This doesn't really convict him one way or the other but it's pretty eye opening behavior. Sure these girls probably should have known that he'd be into this kind of stuff, they should have made better decisions. But I wouldn't be shocked if he took things too far.

I'm not in a hurry to try to cancel him without hard evidence but I'm not really going to rush to his defense here either just because he has a high IQ. This isn't exactly Amber Heard/Johnny Depp type of situation where even Heard's friends said she was making stuff up and was the actual abuser.

His entire career has been acting like a dark freak. You want him to put in his book that he was heavily into He-man and GI Joe and went to prom with a girl on the dance team?

however what they are accusing him of isnt necessarily against the law and I'm sure it was all consensual.

So, he was an adult, the women were adults. They engaged in consensual sexual acts/lifestyle, and that makes him a piece of shite in your eyes?
