Whoever runs this mall should be considered a national expert and an in-demand speaker on how to run a mall.

While the wife (no pics) shops, I'm sitting on an oversized comfy sofa watching all the people. Everyone is wearing clothes that fit. No trashy people or hood rats. Tons of families. Most people are holding shopping bags. Entire place is super clean. In 30 min I've seen 0 mall cops and 4 janitors.

Whoever runs the Mall of LA needs to come figure out how it works here.

Lakeside Mall is truly an anomaly as it remains hyper successful despite:
1. A national trend of indoor malls struggling mightily
2. Its relative proximity to New Orleans 'culcha

Now let me ask you.

If you broke down the demo between the ill fitting clothes wearing people who pay cash for their goods or the nice clothes families who live their life on credit and don't pay their bills?

I was at a business meeting once where the financial means of those areas were shocking.

The metry failures spend and spend and while they may make more they own less. Where as the much poorer baton rouge area have less spending power but better with their limited credit abilities.

So which is the better group?

4-5 years ago I was there, I had some time to burn and let one of those hot Israel massage cream girls rub my hands long time for free. I hated not to buy the cream after, but I'm sure she made a few sales that day

People are school shopping right now so there are more kids shopping with their parents than normal.

Go there on a Sunday evening in about a month and come back and give us a description.

I once saw Lil Wayne in this mall, way back in the day. Before he was as famous as today. He had such baggy jeans on.

I don’t have to go to Lakeside often; maybe once every two years or so. Every time I do go, it’s busy and doing good business. Almost feels like the 80’s.
