S, are you on Old River at Mansura? or are you actually at Spring Bayou? Never seen it that low. Those red leaves will get your heart rate up when looking for blood!

very nice work, sire. You have skills,

I've traveled to Maine twice for 'fall foliage' and missed peak color both times.

You think the dudes who use this blind ever beat off in there while waiting for ducks?

We launched from Turtles. My aunt and uncle have a camp at butte la rose, my uncle took us out in the basin in his boat on Sunday. We hiked around Lake Martin on Saturday morning.

You don't want the Feds bringing a truck load of rule books down as to what you can and can't do, when, and what is endangered so you can't go within five miles of it.

Now back to the pictures.

You started off masterfully, with the wind in the Spanish Moss, it even told us it was a coolish day.

The picture of the white heron should be what I see on my computer every morning (I'll dump Jupiter's moon for it.)

The you had me reasoning. Tidal surge? Nope couldn't be, cypress don't live in brackish water. So, darn! the swamps are that dry right now.

And your bird pictures...I was doing some reading about Audubon and he would have appreciated the way you pulled background in .

Thank you for sharing.

Thx for sharing!

What we drive over frequently like it’s nothing :)

My uncle’s wife’s sister lived in the basin with her husband for several years. I believe they wrote a little book about it.

Beautiful pics!

Lake Martin is one of my favorites - found 55 snakes in 2 trips there this summer.
