New Orleans police issued warnings to two Magazine Street bars over the weekend, The Bulldog and Tracey’s, after calls to the city’s 311 line about crowds at each establishment on Saturday, the first day restaurants and bars that serve food were allowed to reopen at 25 percent capacity.

NOPD were dispatched to the popular bars, according to WWNO, and issued warnings to the proprietors of each — no arrests were made. Following a Tweet Saturday about The Bulldog and Tracey’s being “packed,” Tracey’s responded saying that it wasn’t packed “at all,” and that “everyone was very respectful of social distancing.” The bar, known for its St. Patrick’s Day block parties, also posted a photo supposedly taken inside at the time showing just a handful of people.

I wonder what the NOPD response time was to these calls versus actual crime.

Great to see civilians take the reins and help out their fellow man. The police can’t monitor all of these idiots at the same time.

Imagine trying to be a business now with neighbors able to anonymously make noise and social distancing complaints every few hours.

The social distance police on the Nola subreddit have been unbearable. They were giddy to find out the police gave a “warning” to Tracey’s

They don't need to, Karen monitors for them. For free.

Well when you have money invested in the drug trade, you probably don’t want to ruffle any feathers elsewhere.

Yet, people are murdered in large numbers in NOLA, and “civilians” zip their lips when it comes to helping out their fellow man. Take that troll shite elsewhere.

It is so damn funny how that sub has turned on Tracey's. They had a reddit meetup there just a few months ago.

<----@ Tracey's for the end of the 46-41 Bama game last year.

I hate the power-drunk Mayor.

But why expend the energy to go after criminals, possibly dangerous ones, when you can go harass and ticket people sitting at a bar?

This just does NOT work. Random obscure anonymous people reporting companies ????? Crazy. Politicians and lawyers are the scum of the earth. I see where there is a class action suit in Chicago against McDonald's restaurants because the employees said they're not given enough protection to work. SO JUST QUIT if you feel unsafe. GEESH

It’s not Karen’s reporting these bars - it’s fervent liberals who think Covid is AIDS

People fricking suck. Stay home if you're scared and let others do what they are comfortable with.

The NOLA redit is insufferable with “no one was wearing a mask” there was no distance”. The virtue signaling on there is intense.
