You’d rather waste tax money on a lost cause?

Hope Sacred Heart is worth what we are paying.

At that level I would say cut it down to 1-1.5 hours

Scruffy,
I tried to get my wife to move a few years ago and she said the same...about my in-laws, not yours...we see them about 4 times a year. If we moved out of state, I doubt that would change.

Just go ahead and install the deep fryers in the classroom so they know what the beeps mean and if the fries are done yet.
Damn I weep for those kids

My mom is in her let couple years before she retires and is teaching at a public school in BR.
She literally gives the kids the test on reviews and tells them that if they were smart they would pay attention to the questions she asked and write down the answers and study that stuff.
She reviews the actual test.
Then still has a bunch of students fail because they truly just don’t care.
She told me that with very little effort, that a student could have a 3.0-3.5 in public school.

Their LEAP scores must've been horrible last year for them to implement this shite

This is more common than you think, and don't blame the teachers. There are other factors at play.

Anyone who complains about teachers not grading homework doesn't really get it. Homework should never be a significant part of a student's grade.
The no failures for cheating is bullshite though

From what I can remember, homework was nothing but a burden on me and I was only concerned about getting it done, I don't think I ever learned anything from homework, especially when you had to complete HW for 4 or 5 different subjects.

As a product of Lafayette parish public schools I have to say this doesn't bother me. I barely did any homework and still learned everything I needed to know.

Most students cheat on homework anyway, so why grade it? Just give every student a 100% for their homework category but give no partial credit on tests.
The 100% in the homework category won’t carry the students who make Ds or fail every test, so hopefully that tells those students that they better start learning the materiel.
For the students who honestly do the homework and check their answers, well they will be fine and successful.

Why grade homework, you are grading the parents work. Which is sad because they still miss answers
