Did they ever report how this audio tape got leaked?

Was it leaked by one of her kids?

Strong indicator of a weak person right here. Never apologize? Never acknowledge when you've done wrong? It's a projection of strength to hide your weakness, your fear of negative consequences or failure.

I expect a lot of downvotes from weak individuals.

Edit: she reminds me of the gal in the Seinfeld episode. Sometimes she’s cute to look at, and next photo it’s like a different person.

Referring to those black individuals damaging her vehicle while they steal from her in the way she did being wrong is a matter of opinion.

I heard that her kid showed the video to a friend, who showed it to his parent, who alerted the media.

I could be wrong, but that's what I heard.

Plenty of wrongs are matters of opinion. But it's not the opinion of the person who did wrong that matters. Takes a strong person to acknowledge the opinions of others and do some self-reflection.

Acknowledging the opinions of others and then joining them by doing some “self reflection” is not the measure of a strong person. That’s a person easily swayed because they hold no conviction of their own.

I didn't say we should apologize for everything. I responded to the phrase "never apologize", which is ludicrous.

You can have your own convictions, but if one of them is "I can say whatever I want, whenever I want, and never apologize for any of it" then you are weak as frick.

Of course they were hurtful words. The guy tried to steal from her, but no one cares about what happens to him.

Did they find any instances of her showing racism in the courtroom?

What the frick is wrong with some of you? This has nothing to do with the dude breaking into her car. And “never apologize”? What kind of idiocy is that shite? It takes decency to recognize mistakes and apologize for them.

And as a judge, her saying shite like that on film and it getting out has to be the end of her as a judge. That’s worthy of career-ruining if you’re that stupid. And whether or not she has shown racism in the courtroom is damn near irrelevant when you have something like that on film. Her integrity is gone/ruined, and that’s one of the most important aspects of being worthy of being a judge.

It sucks for her, but resigning is the right move.

What did happen here warranted an apology at the very least. The fact that she resigned shows true strength and she deserves respect for that.

Had she insisted on trying to keep her job despite knowing all the future costs of that, that would have been an incredibly selfish decision. It would have been weak.

Either everyone can say a word or no one can.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Either the word is forbidden or not. It's not equality if some group gets to choose who can or can't say something without repercussion.

For people who claim to advocate for equity this sure seems like a double standard of epic proportions.

That's my problem with the whole thing. If I saw the same outrage regarding everyone saying this word I would 100 agree. Until everyone is held to the same standard this is just a witch hunt.
