Pretty sure you can't do that unless your life is in immediate danger.

Most of these thugs are carrying guns. They are shooting at homeowners in their driveway when they just come out to scare them off.

I’d definitely take this to trial, how are you suppose to know in pitch black night if they holding a small usually black gun. Guess you have to get shot first before you can legally shoot right? If several people are jumping into your yard in the middle of the night, they don’t have good intentions.

I am a retired police officer and I see no reason to arrest someone protecting themselves and their family. That is retarded

Can't just shoot at a person on your property. They need to be attempting entry into the dwelling. You OK with folks shooting at the mailman? How about a kid thats just going to get his ball that went over the fence? What about Ms Mee Maw chasing after her dog that went on your property?

Well if the mailman is jumping backyard fences in the middle of the night with his buddies to steal then maybe the mailman does need to be shot.

If your going to post and critique, you should get the facts right. They were not going to "rob" him, they were on the property to steal some of his chickens. That fact may change some options it may not.

I'm okay with folks shooting at people committing crimes while on their property.

(I know this isn't the law)

Yeah, it's way worse than Orleans or EBR

What occurred throughout the investigation was we were able to determine that multiple individuals traversed a large fence, and enclosed fence to that individual homeowner’s back yard or rear area of his property. At that point somewhere along that situation the homeowner fired some gunshots in the direction of those individuals.”

And this mother fricker is part of writing the report that could put the home owner away for 20 plus years. “At some point along that situation” isn’t a description of what happened. Its stupid speak nonsense. shite needs to be thrown out asap.

why not fire some warning shots before shooting to kill?

This is still an illegal discharge of a firearm. Warning shots in most places are illegal. Same with presenting a firearm.

Really? When did that happen? (Hint: this is a lie.) EDIT: this is a classic self-defense. Baw has a right to protect himself and his family.

Well dipshit, your fricking Soros led democrat leaders are trying their absolute best to make it difficult for law abiding citizens to legally defend themselves and their property

Then you have the fricking audacity to sit there and act surprised that innocent civilians are drug through the mud by the legal system that gives criminals more rights and protections than it does for the good guys

frick you. You and your lunatic liberal friends voted for this shite, then you come here and act all surprised when everything comes to light.

Seriously, in what logical world does a group of people jumping over your fence and into your yard in the middle of the night NOT make you fear for your life?

Thieves aren`t smart enough to know that when entering someone else’s property especially in the middle of the night, they are gambling on whether or not the homeowner is a “shoot first and ask questions later” kind of guy.

So, you just let them steal anything in your fence-enclosed yard?
