Obviously La Tech isn’t admitting students based on ethnicity and wholistic education. How close
Minded of them.

Ahh. I see what they're doing. Niche(some ranking agency) voted them #1.

I believe Southern's Nursing program recently won best Nursing program in the country too.

It's from 2023.

Tech is definitely a better engineering school

I have a junior in Chem E at Tech. It's been great for him.

It's not a better education than LSU but we definitely see it as a better value. All around it's much cheaper than LSU, from food plans and tuition to books and fees.

For decades the best and brightest have hauled arse out of Louisiana. The children of the best and brightest have no interest in coming back and going to LSU.

So the kids LSU has to attract to stay open are the offspring of the not best and not brightest. So the academics slip a bit to match the capability of your student pool.

As a whole in higher education rankings, Louisiana ranks 49 out of 50 states! What a flex by either school. What a joke

Louisiana Tech has increased its admission standard in recent years while other state schools have decreased theirs. It’s great for rankings but it hurts enrollment.

The university hasn’t grown at all and there are financial implications of that.

Kind of damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
