As is noted in another thread, the head of state IT’s house is on fire.

C64’s OS is hard-coded onto a chip on the motherboard so they are one of the most hack-proof computers out there.

Should I really believe that many people only voted for governor and nothing else on the ballot?
it’s not that big a stretch to care about a governor being re-elected and not knowing or giving a frick what the other races on the ballot are for? I mean how many people can pick Kyle Ardoin out of a lineup?

Rough day for Dickie. I know it looks bad, but he’s a Great guy and I really doubt he’s up to no good. Maybe he forgot to turn something off during all the commotion.

I’ll pour one out tonight for the sysadmin that fell victim.

I wish I were still there so I could help clean up the mess and get everything secure and back online. :(

So the facts are:
quote:

head of state IT’s house is on fire.

And the state was officially hit with ransomware..

Rumor is a state contractor left his computer open with a VPN running.

Something's VERY fricky. And I'm not usually a tin foil kinda guy.

Probably out back smoking. We’ll know when she comes back trying to sell dessert if she smells like an ashtray.

I don’t wish this on anyone but my few encounters with him were not pleasant.

somewhere, at some point in american history, there were journalists who would do their best to objectively gather data, evidence, facts and use to bring an account of what really happened.

Unfortunately, this is not that point or even close. So, we'll never know.

Hopefully we were shut down all day as a precaution. Hard to work when you don't have access to anything.

So can we have a redo on the governors election at least? This shite is way too coincidental. Ain’t no way that many votes were legally cast in new orleans or ebr parish.

There's absolutely NOTHING in the state's IT department that touches the state's election system. Even the Secretary of State's own IT department has nothing to do with the election systems. It's completely air-gapped in terms of connectivity and people.
