I mean I agree about the judge, but the same time when you and your family are getting death threats from the damn mob... And on the flip side you know there's a strong chance for the jury to acquit, can't really blame him for thinking of his family

I'm watching the Arbery trial and the defense asked for a mistrial because Jesse Jackson is sitting in the back row of the courtroom.

Why is this guy on trial for murder for filming it? The McMichaels seem like real pieces of work but Roddie White being on trial seems like another political prosecution.

Here we go...
ETA: Sounds like the judge mostly responding to the MSM criticizing him.

Holy shite, this trial may not even be halfway done.

Just say “mistrial by prejudice”

Honest question, how's that trial going? Every news channel has constant updates on the Rittenhouse trial but I barely hear a word about that one. I figured the Arbery trail would've gotten way more coverage than it has.

If I were to guess I think this probably indicates that there's a holdout or two.

Technical details of digital video are being discussed by lawyers who have no idea how it works.

100%
And they either beat them down and they go along with the rest, or they compromise.

If I was on that jury I would make it my mission to see those holdouts go home every day crying.

Did the judge rule on the clear video thing?

i've seen a bit about it, but i'm shocked the media is more interested in a white dude shooting white dudes than white dudes shooting a black dude.
Abery is much more interesting (i'm not making light of the loss of his life) in stand your ground laws that Rittenhouse. Not knowing whether Arbery had anything worse than trespass (i have absolutely walked through a house being built and am as guilty as he is, if that's all he did) but the pursuit, citizen's arrest on hearing about a crime being committed vs. actually seeing it, Arbery standing his ground vs. his shooters standing their ground, etc. is much more interesting from a legal standpoint.
I think the fact that they found Arbery on camera breaking into the house more than once took a bit of the wind out of the sails for that case being a slam dunk race issue.
Rittenhouse should be open and shut self defense. Arbery is a lot more grey area.

Is he passing around the hat looking for contributions?

Court TV just said the judge and lawyers are heading back into the courtroom to further discuss the shitty video the prosecution gave to defense.. Wouldn't that take the cake? End this whole thing on prosecutorial misconduct.. I am praying for that!!!!!
