I'm starting to think we don't get a verdict today..
I'd like to think the verdict is already been decided. The jurors are just in there replaying the scene of skateboard guy getting shot, bicep guy getting shot, and troll pedophile getting shot... Taking turns playing the different roles.
Killing time to make it look like they were contemplative.

is it rule of thumb that the longer it takes the worse it is for him?

They probably don’t want a hung jury and some prog won’t budge

how many of the "protesters" have crossed state lines to be there?

The skeptic in me is thinking that some jurors are getting fed info about pending rioting and intend to drag this out.

Not necessarily. He shouldn't even be on trial to begin with.

Yeah without being sequestered for the trial they have to know an acquittal results in riots..

My concern is a juror who thinks "he should have stayed home" is somehow a legal argument.

I've seen some people that 6 out of the 18 potential jurors were wearing masks throughout the entire trial, and those are people Kyle wouldn't want on the jury...
If I was a deep red blooded conservative, I'd probably wear a mask just to keep them from burning my house down

You guys are finally starting to get the average juror.

Would've been epic to have Jury return "not guilty" in like 5 minutes.
If Rittenhouse refused to take the stand and opted for bench trial, he could've got that

which is so insane. Not a single "victim" is black and they were all dirtballs.

And Rosenbaum, the only one of them the prosecution was really ever making a states case for, was yelling the N word repeatedly in the crowd during his roid rage

Yeah I couldn't understand why everyone wasn't mad at him for that..

bench trial
He could've opted for a bench trial?? That would've been the way to go!!

I could see jurors struggling with:
Whether they saw Kyle raise his weapon towards Rosenbaum on the drone video (I couldn't tell and the defense made a good case for the zoom function adding artifacts to the video so the video couldn't prove it one way or another)
Whether Rosenbaum grabbed his rifle (there was no DNA or fingerprint evidence shown to prove that although Rosenbaum did have gunshot residue on his hands).
Whether Kyle had exhausted his escape options before he shot Rosenbaum.
And with the fact that Kyle fired multiple shots after the first one incapacitated Rosenbaum (though the 4 shots only took about 0.75 seconds so he was not spending time assessing Rosenbaum's condition).
And there is the question of whether Kyle went looking for trouble (he essentially testified that he knew leaving his crew was dangerous), pointed his weapon at another dude (in video Kyle tells the dude he did but explained it as a sarcastic comment) and just should have stayed at the location he was guarding with his crew (although he has the right to walk around carrying wherever he wanted).
Those were the defense's arguments and the entire case seems to me to boil down to Rosenbaum because everything else flowed from that. Looking at it as objectively as possible, I don't think it's unreasonable to struggle with those issues although I think he should be found to have definitively acted in self-defense.

I'm very curious to know why they didn't have a bench trial. Maybe they were worried about getting assigned an overly Soros judge.

I saw one video of him daring the "militia" to shoot him... "shoot me, n!&&@!" and some black girl said something like "this dude's going to get us all shot."
She wasn't far off.
